Great Trip with Brody. Really enjoyed seeing the interior of the island and valley where 'lost tribes' lived. Shoreline was fantastic along the cliffs.

In an hour you can see more of the island than you could in a few days — jungles, waterfalls, canyon, coastline, town. The highlight of my trip to the island. Shay was a great pilot. Tip: the helicopters fit 7 people total, including the pilot. 6 is the max number of guests, and about 3 take off in each session. Helpful info for planning with larger parties. Seats are assigned, but 1 and 2 sit in the front (1 is usually a smaller person, and 2 is in charge of the emergency exit and was a guy in all 3 of our rides, and 4 and 7 have backseat window views. 5 and 6 draw the short stick in the middle seats.)

Took my first helicopter ride with Blue Hawaiian and couldn't have asked for a better tour! We had Mark, and he was very knowledgeable about the island of Kauai and we felt very safe with him as our pilot. The views were absolutely stunning! Our day was very clear so we got to go inside the crater which doesn't happen very often. We did have access to microphones so we were able to ask Mark questions. I get a little motion sick, so took dramamine before and did just fine. It is a bit pricey, but is definitely worth it. From what we found, most tours were about the same price. They recommend you wear darker colored clothing because you will get a glare off of the glass doors. If you can, wear pants too. Your skin will even reflect in the glass. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because the "DVD" you can buy of your tour is actually multiple files on a thumb drive and you can't view it on a regular dvd player. Have to watch it on a computer.

This is probably the best way to see this amazing island. There are some many remote places that can only be accessed by helicopter. The pilot was able to get very close to a lot of the mountains and gave us great vantage points for all the scenic highlights. We went with a 2 yr. old and he slept through half of it. Definitely recommend this to any one traveling to Kauai.
