What a great experience. Brent was a wonderful pilot. Having never been on a helicopter and a very healthy case of vertigo I was a little skeptical. But I was totally at easy and really enjoy the ride seeing the volcano pouring lava into the sea and the beautiful waterfalls. Very friendly and helpful people from the front desk, the safety people need the gift shop. Only negative was the camera they use didn't record our flight....was looking forward to having that keepsake.

Wow!  This was really, really thrilling!  When I learned my husband was signing up for the tour, I said all three of us should go.  It was very expensive, but really worth it.  The day was really clear and the volcano was very active with lava pouring into the ocean.  It was really exciting and probably a once in a life time event!  The pilot was really very well versed in all we were seeing and was happy to take any and all questions.  He was really great with our 8 year old son and tried to get him involved in the discussion.  There were 7 total on the helicopter and all the seats were great.  I am scared of heights, but was very comfortable and confident in the pilot's abilities.   If you have the inclination, definitely try this out!

First of all, we were the first customers to take this new waterfall landing tour according to the staff. It was completely amazing and 100% worth the investment in memories. We had Shane Beeder as our pilot. The most capable and knowledgeable helicopter pilot we have had...ever. He knew the most important points of interest, he had the best angles and the ride was smooth and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. Ask for Shane if you go. I have complete confidence your experience will be equally as epic as it was for us!

I found my tour to be an outstanding experience and worth every penny we spent for their "Big Island Spectacular" tour from the Waikoloa Heliport. The pilot was professional, had an entertaining, dry sense of humor and knew quite a bit about the terrain he was describing, below and (in the the case of the Kohala valleys) above us. As the title of this review may indicate, the low(er) level pass over the point where the lava from the present eruption was pouring into the sea was, in itself, worth the price of admission. The landing at Punalulu waterfall was entertaining as well. We're definitely going to take this ride again on our next visit to the Big Island.

Our tour of Kauai with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters was the highlight of our entire Hawaiian trip. it is the only way to see most of the island and it is just spectacular. Blue Hawaiian is a first class operation with an emphasis on safety. You will feel very comfortable doing this even if it is your first time in a helicopter. Our pilot, Elizabeth, was fantastic. She narrated the entire journey, took our questions and made sure every one could see all the sights from their seat. It is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. You can get a discount by booking online before your trip.

It doesn't can't begin to describe this helicopter ride even when rains! Our first flight was cancelled but was worth the wait. The pilot is 3 generation pilot beginning with grandmother. Has 11 yrs of experience. Was very informative and answered all our questions. Talked about the waterfall used in Jurassic Park film. The beach and cliff used in the film Seven Days and Seven Nights. Where some famous people live and lived. Went into a crater of a volcano that blew out the side of the mountain. Field they used to film the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Oh the best part was the Napili coast. Spectacular view of the mountains, coast line .

I'm not one to give online reviews, but I have to say this tour was fabulous! What made it special was our pilot, Kristy. Not only was she a talented pilot, but her energy made the trip. I think she was having more fun then any of us in the helicopter! I will definitely use Blue Hawaiian again for a tour and hopefully have Kristy again in her home base of Oahu!

If you have the chance to do this, do it. My sister, niece and I had the chance to do it, and what an amazing experience it was! We were flown over a lava lake, shown the amazingness of lava hitting the ocean, and then got to fly through the majestic mountains. It was beautiful. Our pilot, Carl, was great. He had the absolute perfect music for every sight and showed the utmost concern for each passenger, including a little child that was in the helicopter with us. An unforgettable experience.

We had the 2 hour Great Spectacular tour in an Ecostar, with Eli as pilot. Pricey, but worth it. Eli kept us informed about what we were seeing, and ensured, by zigging and zagging where appropriate, that all got a good view We flew over active lava crater, and also saw where the lava is pouring in to the sea amid great plumes of steam The flying into and up the valley walls was spectacular too. Great music as well

We toured with Blue Hawaiian in Maui, Kauai and now Hilo. I would t consider another company. The island views are spectacular and all three pilots were safety conscious as well as entertaining and interesting. The weather is out of their control, but every pilot has found the best route to maximize the focal point scenery. Seeing the islands by helicopter is a must in your visit! And Blue Hawaiian is best!
