We did this acutally in April 2016 an were debating whether to do it or not as it was a bit pricey. Glad we made the right decision on our first ever helicopter ride !! This was like our dessert of the tour on the very last day and having been all over Kauai, it was a nice recap. The view was breathtaking, especially along the Na Pali coastline and going over Mt Waialeale !! Friendly pilot with his great commentary made it a lot more interesting !!

I have not been up on helicopter tour in 25 years. A friend was in town from Italy and we decided that the best thing to do, to see the island ( since he only had one full day) was to do a helicopter tour. We picked Blue Hawaii and it was the best decision ever. We had a great pilot and her name was Katie, she was an awesome pilot and made it feel very personal and what we saw was just spectacular. We had good weather, good music and we live on such a stunning island that unless you go up in the air and swoop into these valleys you never get full picture of what it's really like. Kauai is just a beautiful place. Without a doubt I would highly recommend this company, the professional staff and crew, and just a wonderful experience on the helicopters. Worth every penny!

We have visited Hawaii many times but this was the first time to view the island from above. The incredible vistas from the air really help explain the impact of lava on the island. You can see the riverine flows that cannot be appreciated at ground level. The overflight near the vents and the ocean entry reveal the powerful nature of a volcano. This is a costly but valuable experience worth every penny!

This was our first visit to Hawaii and our first helicopter ride. Blue Hawaiian was a first class outfit. they were helpful, friendly, professional and focused on safety. The ride could not have been smoother and the pilot made several loops to ensure each passenger had a great view!

pilot Tom was great and friendly we enjoyed his narration. as we went into the valley with the tall waterfalls it started raining we couldn't see much pictures weren't great at that point. we couldn't see the height. these were the falls we came for and paid for our little ones to even come with us so we could see them. we went over the ocean to view the waipio valley but not in it. it cleared a bit. so we should have been taken back in the valley to revisit the tall waterfalls. overall the time at the waterfalls was short and we spent too much time over the ocean as we didn't want an island tour as much as the kohala mt range tour. because it was a day the falls were flowing more time should be allotted there. I think this is something anyone on the Kohala tour would appreciate and expect. Thanks

Flight was good. Appreciate the commentary by Jack. Compensated for bad weather for original flight, but route had some spectacular scenery I'm not sure we would have seen otherwise. Would fly again. =)

Excellent flight, despite the weather. Glenda did a great job and made it an enjoyable experience for us.

EXCELLENT RIDE

I never thought I would go up in a helicopter, but the video I watched taken from the helicopter convinced me! There is no better way to see Kauai--places you could never get to any other way! The photo ops were amazing, and afterward we bought the video from our own trip on a flash drive. Our pilot was Barrett, and he was fun and knowledgeable and friendly. We felt totally safe with him at the controls. This is kind of pricey, but worth every penny!

Incredible experience. The best way to view the island . Volcano is active and lava fields are a sight. Highly recommended.

This was my 2nd time flying Blue Hawaiian and first time with Kristy. Do not let this Lady leave your company! She was outstanding! Even though it rained partial throughout the tour I have never seen the island so beautiful. Going over Kaneohe Bay, seeing the sand bar and Giligans Island, zipping threw Kualoa Valleys and Pineapple Fields ending over Pearl Harbor. . such an Amazing time. You will be seeing me again..

We booked the two hour Big Island Spectaclar and it was spectaclar. We started witht eh old lava flows and headed for the Valcano Park to se some live lava. The we went up the coast and where the clifs are houndreds of feet straight out of the water. The valleys are narrow and the waterfalls down the cliffs are magnificent.

The Big Island Spectacular helicopter excursion we booked through Norwegian Cruise Line was amazing. It was expensive, but there is no other way to see the Big Island. This may be our only visit to Hawaii, so we wanted to get a birdseye view. Our pilot, Marco, was fun. We were able to see red lava on the edges of the Halemahumahu Crater within the Kilueau Caldera, old lava flows, and beautiful waterfalls on the Hilo side of the island.
