We had booked the Island Spectacular Tour, but when we got there, they had to cancel due to weather over the volcano. They gave us the option to reschedule or just do the waterfall portion of the tour. We elected the latter. They refunded our original trip and gave us a discount on the shorter trip. Although we were disappointed that we didn't get to see lava or the volcano, we still had a great time. Dale was our pilot. He was awesome, and my kids loved listening to his stories. It was pretty amazing to get to where we were and see the waterfalls so close up. All the employees were very friendly and helpful, and safety was very important. I would highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I will say this, you MUST do it. Even if you think you are a bit fearful of helicopters. If I can do it, you can. It was THE MOST breathtaking, awe-inspiring experience. It really was all of that. You get a complete different perspective on the island that you would otherwise. And, we saw Gilligan's Island! How cool is that! Also, we got to listen to the Beach Boy's sing as we were flying over the beach they were singing about! You can purchase a video at the end that includes footage of inside the helicopter of you and your friends and family and of course the beautiful scenery. Well worth it at 40 bucks. After we got back to our resort, I was flipping through a magazine. Low and behold there's an article on Blue Hawaiian. National Geographic named them the Cadillac of Helicopter tours. Enough said.

we very much enjoyed our tour. the smiles on the kids faces were glowing. my wife and I flew blue Hawaiian on maui in 2009. We came to the big island for spring break this year and wanted to fly blue Hawaiian again just because we had such a great tour last time. Our pilot this time was Wesley. Best 2 hours of our 25 day cruise, I think! Ethan was an outstanding pilot/guide/historian/biologist! Really splendid experience.

The staff was absolutely wonderful and attended my grandfather who is handicap. Chris the pilot was funny, charming, and fantastic! Loved the music playlist and it was a memorable, amazing, incredible experience.
