Great trip and enjoyable experience! Marti was an excellent and very informative pilot. One of a kind experience
Mark was a fantastic guide and it was an absolutely beautiful day for flying. Thank you!
The views and tour were obviously amazing- but the staff and the entire operation were incredible! Everyone was very friendly, organized and efficient. Our pilot, Chase was not only an expert navigator but a knowledgeable tour guide. They certainly go to great lengths to ensure your safety and comfort. I would highly recommend this company for island helicopter tours. Unfortunately, the day we went was not a good one for seeing the lava fields due to bad weather, which is the whole purpose of why we wanted to go. But the company was very flexible in giving you options and alternatives (including opting out of the flight with a full refund). We still had an amazing time touring other parts of the island. Also- purchasing the video of your flight is totally worth every penny!
Yeeesss! An absolute fabulous and up close view of the famous Manawaiopuna waterfall. The best way to see it is by helicopter and our pilot Scott H. of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters gave us the best history and panoramic views ever. "The Cliffs", the sacred burial ground, inside and nearly adjacent to crater walls, a sweep of the Na Pali coastline, majestic views of the Waimea canyon. And a bonus, a personal video of our entire flight narrated by us and the pilot. I must say, only the eyes can truly capture the beauty. Blue Hawaiian Helicopters gives a great tour. From the well informed safety instructions, views and turns for each passenger's personal picture taking pleasure, to Scott's in depth knowledge of the island, its history, and flying skills to immerse you right into the landscape.
we booked through the Expedia agent at our hotel in Kona and were so pleased we did. The 50 min trip showed us the east side of the big island in a way we would not have seen from the ground. I was unsure about spending that sort of money but my partner thought the price was very reasonable. Recommend to anyone they do a helicopter tour and Blue Hawaiian were very good. They do check your weight prior to deciding on seating arrangement for the aircraft but they do so discreetly (phew!) If you can, I recommend you do a tour in the sky, we got a better appreciate the power of the volcano when we saw the path of lava flow from the sky and seeing the lava hit the ocean is truly breath taking... loved it
Went from Kona-Kailua to the volcanos, ground stop in Hilo, then to the Waipoo Valley area. Volcanoes were extraordinary. North coast was even more amazing. You want to do this. A caveat however-- Kailua weather is so good you don't think about Hilo. We were delayed in Hilo due to visibility. Thirty minutes didn't hurt us, but the next tour had to be canceled. Take the first tour if you can ( we would have been on the canceled tour except it was already full). An amazing ride
You know you hit the jackpot when a helicopter flight left you breathless and made a couple of grown folks (yours truly and the hubby) tearing up. We booked ourselves for the Big Island Spectacular flight, a two hour event that moved our hearts and souls, and that's saying a lot for a couple of hard hearted people ? The entire experience was flawless, from booking to checking in to the actual flight and embarking/disembarking. We took the 9am tour on a Friday and the day couldn't have been more perfect for us - blue skies, minimal wind, and the lava gods came out to play! On this journey, we flew out of Waikoloa, traversed above Saddle Road where we saw the various volcanoes. We also flew right above the most active volcano in the world and the best part was how thoughtful the pilot was to everybody in the cabin-he flew clockwise several times so the people on the right can see/take pictures and then repeated counterclockwise for the folks on the left! He did this pretty much for all the awesome places, such as the volcano, the valleys, the waterfalls, and the cliff sides. The most memorable part for me was when we were introduced to the Waipi'o Valley and to a similar or slightly lesser extent, the Wainuma Valley-it must have been the build up to that moment, coupled with very timely soundtrack that drew out the waterworks. The valley of the kings was one of extreme beauty and one that could only be experienced through this flight. Highly recommend this company-very professional, the flight experience was recorded with HD video cams outfitted on the exterior of the chopper, and when you buy the USB thumb drive with the video, which I highly recommend you do, it comes with timed music that you will hear during the flight and the pilot/guest interactions. The eco star was what we hopped on and probably would be the one I would recommend-it was quieter (we also were provided with Bose noise cancelling headphones) and we were VERY lucky to have been seated on the front next to the pilot. Totally do this one. The other helicopters we saw blasted past all the sites, whereas this one took their time to provide the best possible experience. If you were thinking about the different packages, also do this 2-hour event. Because #yolo!!!! Thank you Blue Hawaiian ? You've made our week!
First class operation. Beth was our pilot and we couldn't have been in better hands. Kauai is best experienced from a seat in Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.
Absolutely incredible experience. We would really recommend the ultimate tour with the waterfall drop too. Some sights you only dream of and with the background music and local knowledge of Greg G you just can't beat the experience. It brought emotions out with goose pimples and tears. Awesome!
It was an amazing view and our pilot was awesome. I really enjoyed my trip.
Eli was our pilot and was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable of the area and although the time was short, he packed a lot of information and scenery for us to view! Fabulous flight, would return 10/10!
Excellent experience. Great pilot. Great views.
Awesome experience, out pilot was also great.
Speechless...
Captain Geoffrey was great! He had a wealth of knowledge about the island and places to see/do since he is native to the island of Kauai. The views of the Napali Coat were incredible and honestly can't be seen from a better view than the helicopter. What a way to end our honeymoon! Seriously couldn't have asked for a better trip. Thank you!
