Our hotel concierge Heather did an amazing job at explaining how the conditions at the volcanos change and completely managed our expectations. She told us the difference between the different companies who did the flights and we decided on the superior views and forward facing seats in the Ecostar helicopters operated by Blue Hawaiian. We were not disappointed. Our pilot Carl was informative and interesting and made sure he flew round lava so that everything could be seen well, no matter which seat you were in. It was my daughter's 16th birthday and it was a fantastic way to celebrate and an experience we will always remember.

Amazing trip. Only we expected more lava flow.

ブルーハワイアンヘリコプターはワイコロアとヒロの二か所から飛んでいます。火山ツアーがしたかったのですが、ワイコロアから飛ぶ分は島の半分近くを飛び、火山も入るというツアーでお値段が＄５００超えでした。そのためヒロまで行きキラウエア火山のプーオーオー火口の上を飛ぶ火山ツアーにしました。＄３００ちょっとです。ワイコロアからの分はハレマウマウ火口の上を飛ぶそうですが、お互いのテリトリーがあるらしく、ヒロからの分はハレマウマウの上には行きませんでした。でもオーシャンエントリーの上も飛んでくれ、ダイナミックで満足のいくツアーでした。ヘリコプターは八人乗りで、明るい色の服は窓の反射してきれいな写真が撮れないため、暗い色の服を着るよう言われました。ヘリコプターはのパイロットは退役軍人の方で、安定感があり、安心して４０分のフライトを楽しむことが出来ました。ワイコロアからの分は早くに予約すれば日本語のできるパイロットにお願いすることもできるようですが、ヒロからの分は英語のみです。今回予約は宿泊先のマウナラニポイントのスタッフにお願いしてしてもらいました。
