Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour was one of the best experiences I have ever had!! Marvelous views and polite people (especially our pilote named Bryan)

This was by far the most awe-inspiring experience of our entire trip to Hawaii. We took a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour on 07.06.17 and it was something I will never forget. It is the best way to see this gorgeous island! The views were absolutely magnificent and the operation was first class - from check-in to drop off back at our cruise port. Blue Hawaiian is really a top notch operation. You get the sense for this when you check in and go through their orientation process. They have it down! All of the helicopters are well-maintained, which made me feel very comfortable. Our pilot, Scott H. was THE BEST! I had never been on a helicopter before, so I was feeling a bit nervous, but there was really no need. Scott was a pro (former military pilot) - and he was also so informative and funny, too. He answered all of our questions - and made sure that I saw the waterfall from Fantasy Island, which was on "my list". I will never forget flying into the Jurassic Park area (near the waterfall), listening to the music in the headset. Best excursion ever! For cruise passengers: Don't hesitate to book this excursion on your own. Blue Hawaiian picks you up at the port and delivers you back. They were wonderful!

We went on the Big Island Spectacular on July 4. The trip was epic. It is a must-do activity when visiting the island. Our pilot, Chase, was professional and informative. Everything about the flight was great -- tunes, AC, visibility. Chase told us tons of information about the national park, Parker Ranch, volcanoes, lava, and Hawaiian culture and history -- and that was all before we got to the smoking crater of bubbling magma on the East side of the island! Chase did several circles over the crater and then flew us over to the coast where the lava was flowing directly into the water. This part of the trip was about an hour -- lots of lava and great scenery -- then we landed in Hilo for a 10 minute pit stop. The second half of the trip took us up the Kohala Coast, which is some of the most awesome scenery that we've ever seen. We saw beautiful waterfall after beautiful waterfall. The best part of the trip is the waterfall landing. Chase landed in a patch of grass about 50 feet from a cliff with a several hundred foot waterfall and we all got out to explore. The scene was so awe inspiring that I took out the engagement ring I had brought with me and headed to the waterfall with my girlfriend. First I told Chase privately and he proceeded to video the entire proposal without my girlfriend seeing. (She said yes!) It is an amazing video. Thanks Chase! You should be a professional videographer if you aren't already. This is a helicopter tour we will never forget and one that we can't wait to take again. If you're vacationing on Hawaii, take the Blue Hawaiian Big Island Spectacular with the waterfall landing. You will remember it forever!

Captain Jason Trask, as well Captain Barrett are awesome flight instructors, and I simply loved my first flight training. I hope that I can pass the check ride and join the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Ohana. The tour is amazing, magnificent, spectacular and awe-inspiring. We took our family of the circle of fire tour. Seeing the volcanic activity from the air was an entirely new perspective. If your able to, I would say this is not to be missed! Our helicopter pilot was fantastic. Very knowledge able and entertaining. Blue Hawaiian was professional and family friendly. In my opinion this is a must!

We had a terrible experience with another helicopter tour company (Paradise) who stuffed us around and said they did not have availability when they'd advertised. As a result, we had to cancel our flights, and we were devastated as we'd really wanted to do this trip. I contacted Blue Hawaiian literally two days before the tour on the off chance they had availability - and while they didn't really for a party of four they did everything they could to get us a seat - and while they were trying to jigsaw us into a helicopter flight a whole flight became available and hey presto! We had a flight. They were really lovely and empathetic about our situation, they worked really hard for us to make it work - and I could hear on the phone it wasn't just one staff member working on it, it was a couple. The flight itself was awesome, our pilot Wesley was really informative and funny, he was really great at ensuring that everyone had a good view, and we saw some awesome lava in the crater. It was everything we'd hoped for and more. Thank you Blue Hawaiian, it was a highlight of our trip, and we appreciate your back office staffs' hard work!

Adolf brought us around each site of interest so we had a good view from both sides. Flight was smooth in spite of the wind. Tx Blue Hawaiian.

We wanted to see some areas not on the regular tours so indulged in chartering the helicopter for two hours.  Our pilot, Karl, was superior and very knowledgeable about the island.  We were first flight of the morning at 6:30AM which is highly recommended for least humidity and best visibility.  Later in the afternoon things you can see in the morning can be obscured by clouds.  Sleep is overrated when compared to seeing what you can see from the helicopter!  We flew our custom itinerary and then reverted to "Karl's choice" for the rest of the flight.  The highlight was stunning waterfalls over 2,000 feet in height surrounding our little helicopter in a valley frequently inaccessible because of clouds.  The inner valleys were also open above Waimea.  We got to see the crash site of a WWII B17 and even more waterfalls.  An absolutely stunning once-in-a-lifetime flight.  The staff was wonderful.  The equipment is meticulously maintained.  Safety is taken seriously.  I highly recommend for their planned tours and especially if you have enough people to make a charter worthwhile.  They video the whole flight from four cameras complete with in-cabin shots to perfectly document your experience including the complete cockpit soundtrack.  What could be better than starring in your own travel documentary adventure?  Truly memorable!

It was absolutely incredible, a great end to our vacation. The pilot was great and so was all of the staff! Rowena and Adolf (the pilot) both did an outstanding job.

We had a great time and Marty was awesome! What a beautiful island to see from a birds eye view! Wishing we had done this at the beginning of our trip. We saw so many areas to explore. Next visit! Thank you for your professionalism and knowledge of the area. Breathtaking!

Absolutely Amazing!!!!! Can't wait to see the other tours. This was my first helicopter ride and was so afraid. Pilot Carl was amazing... I'm ready for my 2 hour ride now.

One of the most amazing adventures we've ever taken as a family. Our pilot, Sean, was an amazing pilot and took great care to ensure everyone in our group got to experience all of the features the tour had to offer. It was also very, very nice that he learned each of our names and addressed us by them when answering our questions. We will definitely recommend this tour to any family and friends who might be travelling to Hawaii.

Not only is it a beautiful view and a smooth ride, but our pilot Marty made it a very fun ride by telling us stories and jokes and answering all of our questions
