The Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour was the best part of our trip. Our pilot was amazing (unfortunately I forgot his first name, could have been John), very informative and fun! Don't miss the opportunity to have a helicopter ride if you visit Hawaii! It's breathtaking!

My Husband & I went on the helicopter tour with the aforementioned company. We could not believe that we were in the air for 50 minutes. The trip was amazing. Within the alloted time we circumnavigated the whole island. I do not have enough good things to say about this trip. Well worth the money.

When we were planning our Maui vacation, the one thing we knew we wanted to do was a helicopter tour. We asked around and everyone recommended Blue Hawaiian, and we're so glad they did. The tour was amazing. We had never been on a helicopter and they did everything to reassure us. Safety First. Our pilot was amazing and this was the highlight of the trip. We would highly recommend this tour.

We booked the complete Island tour and the tour was an experience in itself! The crew was friendly, safety standards were very high and Maui's beauty was a sight to see. Loved the experience!

We decided to do the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour instead of the long drive to Hana. The helicopter pilot was a nice guy, great tour guide, and friendly. The views of Haleakala crater and all of the waterfalls around the island were amazing. It isn't cheap, but if you want a unique perspective of the island you will never get from the road, it is worth it. There is a 50% premium depending on weight, so be aware of it, but the helicopters are comfortable. TIP: Wear DARK SOLID clothes. Any light clothing or patterns will reflect in the windows and ruin the photos you take because of the glare and reflection. If you wear dark navy blue or black, you won't have that problem.

Brilliant experience! My wife and I booked the Helicopter tour while on Maui for our honeymoon. It is just the best way to get to see Maui from the air and enjoy places you can't get to by car. We flew over Molokai, the Island has a very dense rainforest and offers incredible waterfalls (some are 100m high), the north shore has amazing cliffs. Our pilot was so nice and very knowledgeable: he showed us great places and did not hesitate to turn around so we could take a look at some surfing spots and amazing landscapes. He also shared with us some interesting fact about the life on the island and the Hawaiian culture. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would do it again if I come back. Great welcome from all the crew. They made it safe and very pleasant.

We tried to book the ecco tour for an hour on the Ecco Helicopter. We arrived at the heliport, stayed for the safety movie, and then we were told because of weather that parts of the tour would not be available but they could offer an alternate tour. We opted to come back on another day because we really wanted to see the sights that we had planned. When we arrive two days later, they were very accommodating however the echo copter was not available nor were some of the sights that we wanted to see due to very bad weather again. We were assured we would not be disappointed if we went ahead with the tour. We were not disappointed in the least! Ryan, our tour guide, was amazing. He took us to see sights that never would we have seen on land tours. They were amazing and he took us by the blow holes, whale watching, into the rainforest to see the tallest natural waterfall in the world, and many other incredible sights. We did get a little nauseous in the middle of the tour, and if you get car or motion sick, this is not for you. Ryan was safe, informative and willing to do whatever we were interested in!! We would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

This helicopter tour was the highlight of our stay in Maui. We saw everything from waterfalls to whales swimming in the ocean. We did the 45 minute Maui/Moloka'i tour and it was breathtaking. The music you listen to via your noise canceling headphones is awesome. I won't spoil the fun by naming the tunes but it ranges from rock and roll to traditional Hawaiian music and seems perfectly timed with the tour. The ride was smooth and graceful and the pilot (Tim) was mindful of not making anyone uncomfortable with the turns or altitude changes. Tim was very personable and friendly and very knowledgeable. He gave great commentary about the island history, geography, indigenous peoples, wildlife and the pacific oceans and its inhabitants. The staff at Blue Hawaiian were friendly and professional. The facilities were very clean.

Easy & quick check in, great lady, nothing was to much trouble. well worth booking, fantastic views, never to br missed.

We went out in the morning with Gernot, our pilot. It was a smooth ride with great views and commentary of what we were flying over.

Great views and our pilot was full of information. A little pricey, but definitely worth the splurge if you haven't ever been to Maui.

Mike was our helicopter pilot for this tour, and he was awesome. He’s been flying helicopters for something like 20 years, so I always felt very safe with him at the helm. It was my first helicopter ride ever, so I thought I would be nervous, but instead I was excited and calm from the beginning. Mike has a whole custom playlist for his tours, and he synced the music incredibly well with the views. When we were flying over the part of Moloka’i that was featured in Jurrasic Park #3, the music from the movie suddenly played. When Mike took us to see the incredible waterfalls coming from the 3,000 foot sea cliffs, he also had epic music playing so we could fully appreciate the splendor of the moment. Importantly, Mike made sure to turn around the helicopter a number of times so that individuals on both sides of the helicopter could get the best view. We were nervous before the flight that if we were seated in the ‘wrong’ seat we wouldn’t enjoy the ride. Thanks to Mike’s expert navigation skills that couldn’t have been further from our experience. Everyone in the helicopter got equal attention and fantastic photo ops. We learned quite a bit of history about the islands of Maui and Moloka’I during the flight as well, so I felt like we had a well-rounded tour. Among the things we saw: a full-circle rainbow (!!!), humpback whales trying to find a mate, 3,000 foot sea cliffs with incredible multi-tiered waterfalls, the most remote home on Moloka’i that is only accessible by boat, a little island that looks like a turtle, more rainbows, green pastures of Maui, untamed rainforests of Moloka’i, coral reefs, stingrays, and SO much more.

I took one of the helicopter tours with my wife, sister in law, and 2 of my kids (ages 5 and 3) on Dec. 29, 2016. I would highly recommend this company. They took great care of our kids and the ride itself was amazing. We toured to Molokai, seeing numerous waterfalls, and the pilot was great and shared many educational facts about the island. We then went back toward Maui, getting a great view of 2 whales with their newborn babies in the water. The pilot took his time and made sure people on both sides of the helicopter got to see them. Actually he did this throughout the tour with waterfalls and other scenery. My father in law paid for the trip, so unfortunately I can't comment on pricing of the tour. But the experience and service were outstanding, and we most likely will be back on our next visit to Hawaii.

Our first time to the islands, we were so excited for our helicopter ride! We were unable to take our original flight plan due to weather, but they offered us a different flight plan (or reschedule/refund). The flight we took was beautiful and our pilot was awesome! The staff was great while we were there! A must-do in Hawaii!

What an amazing experience we had! Taking a tour in a helicopter adds a total new dimension to the amazing, beautiful sites of the islands. We took a West Maui and Molokai tour on an Eco-Star helicopter. Booking was very easy. You can do it via the website or simply call. The staff is very friendly. I must have called about 6 times with questions, and they were very friendly and patient. You can request for the front seats, however, keep in mind that seating is determined in order to meet the "weight and balance" requirements of the helicopter. My advice is to book this trip early on your vacation, so you have enough days to re-schedule the trip in case of weather. They are extremely accommodating. They will also offer you alternative tours in case the one you booked is not available due to weather (or you can re-book for another day). We arrived at the heliport (by the main Maui airport) 45 minutes ahead of our tour. Parking costs $7. We checked-in and then were presented a detailed safety video. There are free lockers available for your belongings. No hats are allowed on the ramp (for obvious reasons), and you are only allowed to bring phones (in airplane mode) and cameras for taking pictures. For the photographers out there, come wearing dark clothes to minimize reflections on the windows. A nice touch by Blue Hawaiian staff was to clean the windows prior to take off. The pilot will maneuver the helicopter so that both sides get to see the landscape. I got some amazing shots! I was surprised how smooth the ride was given the winds on the day of our trip. The cabin is also very quiet. Everyone is provided a Bose headset and a microphone so you can communicate with others and the pilot. We had a great and very friendly pilot, Gernot. He gave us a guided tour of the sites and talked to us along the way. He was great with our teenage kids. My son spotted a whale while flying towards Molokai, and he made a nice and gentle circle turn so everyone could see it! You can tell he loves his job! We took off and headed towards West Maui. As we were heading towards one of the valleys, I commented that I felt as if I was in the "Jurassic Park" island. Gernot, our pilot, confirmed that indeed it was the same valley used in the movie! We then headed towards Molokai, to see the breathtaking, imposing sea cliffs, which are the tallest in the world. We also saw several waterfalls, including the Papalaua Falls. We made two slow passes to get a great look and take additional pictures. Gernot also made a great effort in finding some amazing rainbows! Heading back we flew by Kanapali and headed around the north end of Maui, providing us additional sites. We ended up back at the airport, with a gentle approach and landing. As we exited the helicopter, the friendly ground crew offered to take a picture of us with our helicoter in the background. A nice memento for recording your adventure for future viewing with friends and family.
