We had the opportunity to view the island of, Moloka'i along with the North side of the island. Our pilot, Ryan was extremely knowledgable about the culture, & history of Maui. Viewing the island from a helicopter really allowed us to appreciate the scope of beauty that the island provides, & we are so glad that we were able to have this opportunity. Everyone that worked at Blue Hawaiian was extremely kind, and helpful! We would definitely suggest Blue Hawaiian to anyone who wants to experience the island in a totally epic way! Mahalo!!
We had scheduled a circle island tour and took off only to be sent back to the heliport 20 minutes later due to weather conditions at Haleakala. We were able to reschedule another tour (West Maui/Molokai) in the afternoon. We checked back in and found ourselves sitting in the front seat of the helicopter with the pilot AND and afterwards was presented with a complimentary copy of the flight video! Loke (assistant manager) was incredibly awesome and Dean (pilot) did an amazing job flying us around! We would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian for a helicopter tour.
Our trip covered the entire island of Maui, as well as Moloki. First, we went up by the Crater and around the center, then on to the coast line of Hana and the surrounding area. Lastly, we went into the massive waterfalls of the Iao Valley, which was closed off to tourist during our visit. We were an hour in the air and it was amazing!!
My wife and I took the trip on Wednesday 10/19. The pilot and tour were incredible. We booked the full island tour but weather prevented us from doing the crater and Road to Hana. Instead they took us to Molokai for the waterfalls which were incredible and rest of Maui. Our first helicopter tour and it was amazing. Only reason to rate 4 stars is the cost of everything involved, $40 for video of entire trip (which we bought) and the gas surcharge. Definitely recommend doing this trip, out pilot Chris was a great tour guide and pilot. Overall loved it.
In big island this is the only thing I highly recommend Take 2 hr tour little pricey but every penny was worth it Pilot experienced n safe This was much better than bus tours
My wife and I took the trip on Wednesday Oct/16. The pilot and tour were incredible. We booked the road to Hana tour luckily the weather was perfect, they took us to the crater at 14,000 feet, Molokai for the waterfalls which were incredible and rest of Maui. Our first helicopter tour and it was amazing.Definitely recommend doing this trip, out pilot (a lady Sorry I don't remember her name) was a great tour guide and pilot.
We were treated to a fantastic helicopter ride to see all of Maui. They are very safety conscience and I felt very comfortable throughout the ride. Captain Rick was not only a great pilot, but an excellent tour guide as well. It's a little pricey but well worth the money. This was definitely one of the highlights of my stay on Maui.
We had Dean as our pilot who picked us up after our Road to Hana tour. Dean was awesome! The views were spectacular and the helicopter ride was an amazing experience. We bought the video of the tour, which included Dean's perfect music selection throughout the ride and his commentary, for $40. Highly recommend! My wife and I would do it again and would make sure we had Dean as our pilot. Thanks Dean!
My dream come true, to see all the island of Maui from a helicopter. It was awesome! Got to sit in the front seats for an hour tour given by Eric the awesome pilot. He was very informative and showed us great views, complete with some history of Maui. It is all caught on 4 cameras and recorded for you to buy. Watched it again today. Thanks for another thing checked off my bucket list.
We did the helicopter over the road to Hana and Haleakala crater yesterday morning before we left Maui. Our pilot was Tim, he was awesome. The views from up above are beautifu,l he told us some of the history. If you've never done a helicopter tour, you should!!!
We actually were hoping to do the West Maui/Moloka'i tour but were upgraded to this Complete Circle Island Tour instead. So grateful that we were able to see the Haleakala National Park from above, totally surreal. Our pilot showed us where all the water that feeds into Hana originates from. The highlight though, was probably the spectacular waterfalls in West Maui. The "Wall of Tears" in the Pu'u Kukui Forest Reserve was mind blowing. Service was easy through our concierge desk. The heliport is 5 minutes outside of OGG (a 45 minute drive from the resort areas in Lahaina/ Ka'anapali) and they have you check in 45 minutes prior to the flight. We were advised to wear black or dark colored clothing without large logos to minimize the reflection in photographs. Helicopter sat six people and my partner and I were on the rear bench, she had the window and I was next to her.
A "must do" on the island of Maui ! Bird's eye views, incredible scenery. Friendly, accommodating staff.
My husband wanted to go. I said, no way are we paying $600 to do this. He said he would pay, so off we went. While I was nauseous and scared out of my mind, it was the best part of our trip. We did the West Mountains and Molikai. Kate was our pilot. We were so impressed with her. We went places no one has ever walked. Flew into canyons with waterfalls. Yes, I thought I died and went to heaven. We bought the flash drive of the trip and I just wish it was better to show the beauty. It was like I was on a National Geographic film shoot. I still say, pinch me, did I really do this. Everyone, just do it.
Don't wait another year to do it, its so worth the $ & your spouse will love you for it. Tour a few islands and see waterfalls that few get to see.
Ryan was an outstanding guide. He made the flight memorable and also had a sense of humor. The Maui Spectacular tour was pedometer with a landing. We also saw a whale. Overall an outstanding flight.
