Awesome experience! Great pilot. Only feedback I have is that they tried to sell me an empty seat for $300 claiming to have people on standby that would take the single seat because we were a family of 5 and wouldn’t fill the 6 total seats. Turns out there wasn’t a single person on standby nor could they tell me how a person could get on the list. Seems like they were just trying to take advantage of people. I understand the business side of it but don’t lie and say people are waiting when they weren’t. Still don’t know if there is really a standby list or if it is just a scare tactic.

Wonderful experience. Paid for an upgrade to the front seats, well worth the additional dollars. If you decide to purchase the video at the end first check to see if the lenses were clean. Unfortunately after reviewing them at home we noticed one of the camera lenses were quite dirty and distracting.

Captain Tim was amazing. He’s got a soothing voice that put all of us first timers at ease. And he might as well be a professor of History and Ecology. I learned more on this helicopter ride than a semester in college.

The Big Island Spectacular was an awesome trip! We have done several helicopter tours in Hawaii and everyone in our party agreed this one was one of the best. Our pilot Dale was excellent and made the trip very enjoyable- highly recommend!

Had a great time, and Chris the pilot was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the scenery. Chris handled the helicopter expertly and the landing perfectly.

The experience is fabulous. You get great views from every angle. We got close to the mountains and got close up views of them.

It was my first Helicopter flight ever! Amazing! You have to take the tour if you in Honolulu! The Staff was so friendly and the Pilot Alex was fantastic. He made it an unforgatable first and beautiful flight around this Island. You wish it would not end as you always see some new things if you look around! Thanky Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.

Mathew is an excellent pilot and friendly guide. The operations at Blue Hawaiian is efficient and streamlined. Highly recommend this trip. The fleet of helicopters are relatively new and very well maintained. Our 2 hour ride offered crystal clear views of the craters, waterfalls and wildlife (we saw turtles and dolphins) and we even saw the crashed WWII bomber! Best money spend on the Big Island.
