We booked the tour of the whole island with Blue Hawaiian after using their services on Maui. Words cannot describe the beauty of the island from the air and the pilot, Brian, was very informative and provided an excellent narrative throughout the whole time we were on board - approximately 1 hour. The scenery is spectacular. From the lush green mountains, to Waimea Canyon and then to the rugged and steep coastline it was a jaw dropping experience. If you go to Kauai you have to do this!

We did the Big Island Spectacular tour and it was worth the money. Our pilot took the time to hover and circle around the sites so everyone in the helicopter could get a good view/photo. It was also nice that the helicopter ride was so smooth that the almost 2 hours flew by. We saw the lava bubbling up in the crater, flowing into the ocean and even faintly in some small fissures because we had a really clear day. The waterfalls in the Waipio valley and Hamakua coast were beautiful and were equally as impressive as the lava. I flew with another helicopter company on a different island later in my trip and they were nowhere near as professional as Blue Hawaiin. I thought the safety instruction was well presented, the loading and unloading was professionally done and we loved and appreciated the cool towel refresher, but mostly we enjoyed the skill and expertise of our pilot in his smooth maneuvering and hovering and turning so everyone got a view. Highly recommend this company and specific tour!

Great experience, especially if it is your first time in a helicopter. Our pilot, Greg, was awesome! He got us as close as you can get to the volcano and unbelievable views of the waterfalls, making sure each side of the helicopter got to see everything. Avoid sitting in the middle seat especially if you are smaller because you might not get the best view. Greg was very knowledgable which added to the journey. It is pricey but worth it!

AMAZING!

Carl was a superb pilot and guide. He was knowledgeable about the volcano, lava flows, and was great about pointing out spots of interest. He circled the crater several times so that all of our party could get a good look at the bubbling lava within. We got great pictures and we're going home with great memories!

We had a great time with Pat on the Circle of Fire Tour. he looked hard for lava in craters and vents, checked in to make sure we all got a view and kept us all comfortable and happy. Great tour!

Fantastische Tour gehad! Wat een topervaring, hele mooie vlucht met deze helikopter. We hadden een trip geboekt met een landing, was top, glaasje Hawaiiaanse champagne, iets lekker voor de kids. Top ervaring!

We had a great time

Wir haben 2 Helicopterflüge mit Blue Hawaiian übers Internet gebucht. Einmal auf Big Island ab Hilo und einmal auf Maui ab Kahului. Beides Mal wurden wir sehr gut in die Sicherheitsbestimmungen eingewiesen und unser Flug ist beides mal pünktlich gestartet. Auf Big Island hatten wir einen Pilot und auf Maui eine Pilotin. Beide waren sehr freundlich und haben während dem Flug alles genau erklärt. Über ein Mikrofon konnte man den Piloten auch Fragen stellen. Über bestimmten Sehenswüdigkeiten wurde immer so geflogen, dass die Personen die rechts und links sitzen, beide die Attraktion sehen konnten. Eine DVD haben wir uns nicht bestellt, da wir selber gefilmt und Fotos gemacht haben. Wir waren zu viert und haben mit noch zwei anderen Fluggästen in einem A-Star gesessen. Da sitzen 2 Personen vorn beim Pilot und 4 hinten auf einer Bank. Auch die, die nicht am Fenster sitzen sehen prima hinaus, da es natürlich schon etwas enger zugeht. Fototaschen und Geldbeutel im Auto oder einschließen lassen. Nur das Geld und die Kreditkarten rausnehmen und in die Tasche stecken. Man darf nichts mit in den Heli nehmen. Also wir würden jedem Blue Hawaiian sehr empfehlen.

Ein unglaublicher und unvergesslicher Ausflug. Es ist der Preis in jeder Hinsicht wert. Amazing......
