I was hesitant about going up in a helicopter since friends have told me that it can be rough. Perhaps i was lucky, but our flight could not have been smoother. We had a great pilot and he was very informative about what we were looking at. The weather was very clear the day we flew. I would not recommend flying on a real cloudy or rainy day. We were very fortunate to be able to sit in the front row, which gave us a great opportunity to take some magnificient photos. Recommend if you take one of these flights you wear dark clothes and full length pants so as to minimize the reflection in the window. This will allow you to take some great photos. Also when you make your reservation they will ask you for the weight of each person going on the tour. be honest and give them your real weight. They will reweigh you when you check-in and if you are a very heavy person you may be charged for two seats since the helicopter can carry only so much weight.

We had an epic journey from South Kohala to Volcanoes, around Hamakua and Kohala coastlines and back. Chase is an excellent pilot and orator. While we had no issues in flight with dizziness or illness, one passenger did. Remember to wear your seabands! We highly recommend Blue Hawaiian !

Carl was a wonderful pilot, very knowledgeable and also had a sense of humor. He also made sure that every passenger had a great view of the volcano or waterfalls for filming. We had a great time!
