Great experience. Thank you Scotty. Your narration was awesome and very informative. Thank you so much!
Brodie could possibly be the greatest tour guide I've ever had. His local knowledge and passion for his homeland is second-to-known. Calm, patient and filled with stories, he makes the trip one in which you leave filled with gratitude and respect for nature and Kauai. Thanks, Brodie!
Awesome experience! Pilot Greg was fantastic, his knowledge of the island is great. The scenery is absolutely stunning. We would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian, and would do it all again!
Kristy was amazing also pointed out all interesting places. We would do it again.
The most incredible experience in Hawaii that we have had. Scott H. was a fantastic pilot, so knowledgeable and did a great job of giving everyone in the helicopter an opportunity to see all of the fantastic viewpoints. We would recommend Blue Hawaiian to anyone who wants the experience of a lifetime!
Brodi, You have a truly amazing homeland and we really appreciate you sharing it with us. We feel fortunate to have had you as our pilot and appreciate all of the information you shared with us. Thanks so much! Mahalo !!!
Brody you were awesome. Thanks for showing us around.
Scott H was our pilot. I was a little nervous to do this and he made us feel so reassured and calm. The flight was amazing and more than we could have imagined!
Amazing tour - Scott H. was awesome! Very informative and made our tour the best experience.
Amazing flight thanks to our pilot Eli. Flying up the waterfalls was awesome. Highly recommended.
After flying to Kauai from Oahu for a day trip with family and having Safari Helicopters screw up our reservation, Blue Hawaii was amazing. We were supposed to have an 8:30am tour with Safari but their employee never booked us. We had to change our whole day's plans as we wanted to hike the NaPali State Park trail. We booked with Blue Hawaiian for a 4:30pm tour and hiked first. I was worried clouds might roll in as the morning was just a perfect time to go. Thankfully, our weather was great, and we could not have had a more perfect flight and narration by Beth! Very professional operation from the pre-flight video, to the office with refreshments, and booking process. Very thorough...made sure we hadn't scuba dived 24hrs before and suggested darker shirts to avoid glare in the helicopter...none of that from Safari. They were more expensive, but worth every penny. You are in executive helicopters with excellent viewing. We bought the video to share with family, and it was excellent quality. Thank you for a memory of a life-time!!
This was my first helicopter tour and I'm glad we chose this one. Our tour guide was very informative and was a good pilot. The falls were beautiful and did remind me of Jurassic Park. You also had a full tour of the island which is beautifully breathe taking. I would definitely do it again.
We started our trip with the helicopter tour and we were so impressed. It was great to see the island from above (especially since most of the island is not accessible unless you are in a helicopter). We were able to get a great overview of what to expect from the island, where we would be visiting and tips from a local. I highly recommend.
would recommend this company to all. Very professional and a wealth of knowledge. The flight was incredible and worth every cent. The only way to see the lava flows. Would recommend that you get the dvd of your flight. very professionally done.
We had heard great reviews about this helicopter tour company and we were not disappointed! There are several options and we decided on the "Big Island Spectacular" as it covered all the attractions we wanted to see. We had been advised by otheres to take the helicopter tour early in the trip so we could plan ground excursions later to see particular attractions identified from the air. However, that tour departs from Waikoloa and we were spending our first days in Hilo before going to Kona so we had to take the tour near the end of our trip. That turned out fine as we were then able to watch for attractions we'd already seen from the ground. Fortunately, we had good weather throughout on the day we went (a 9:15 AM departure). There are no guarantees of course as the weather in Hilo can often be iffy. Our pilot Eli, was a real pro and his commentary enhanced our tour immensely. They probably all do this but he made sure that at the major attractions, he would maneuver the helicopter so both sides of the aircraft would get a good view. The helicopter accommodates six plus the pilot and you are preassigned to a seat. On our tour there were three couples; I don't know whether it was good luck or planned but one person in each couple had a window seat so every couple had the chance for best views. Our tour also stopped briefly in Hilo for a pit stop and refuel. The entire tour is captured on video which is available after the flight for $40 as a series of mp4 files on a flash drive. I would definitely recommend springing for that in lieu of fussing with taking your own video especially if you are trying to take both stills and video. The video has a nice soundtrack as well as capturing everyone who asks a question or makes a comment. For your own camera, I would recommend using manual focus if you can and just setting it to near infinity as it's possible for the camera to autofocus on the windows instead of the scenery thereby leaving your images less sharp than ideal. Also make the effort to try out your purchased flash drive video before you leave the Blue Hawaiian office. We didn't and instead waited until we were flying home only to find that the flash drive was unreadable! We worried that our flight video may already have been erased and we'd have to settle for a refund. After arriving home, I sent an email to Blue Hawaiian (on a Sunday) and had a call back within an hour. The young lady was apologetic and agreed to immediately send us a replacement which we received within a couple of days. Kudos to a truly professional outfit!
