We just took our fourth trip on Blue Hawaiian with our first over 20 years ago, no doubt the best way to experience the islands especially the Big Island as you can see so much more of the volcano and lava from the sky. Our pilot Greg was incredible; knowledgeable, skilled and entertaining. It is worth the budget impact for this experience!

Awesome flight

This was an amazing experience! We took our kids ages 11,9 and 6. They loved it! You get to see parts of the island that you would never be able to access. Pilot Isaiah was awesome and a steady driver. Ashley was great and very accommodating when we had to re-schedule our flight due to low visibility in the morning. Do doors off if you are not too scared!! We didn’t but I can see why it would be even more unreal.

Amazing experience! Definitely worth your while

If you’re visiting Hawaii’s Big Island, a Blue Hawaiian Helicopters tour is an absolute must. From the moment you step through the door, the experience begins. The staff welcomes you with professionalism and warmth, embodying the true spirit of Hawaiian culture. Then, you’ll meet the pilots, like Uncle Toshi, who guided my tour. “Quality” is the only word to describe him, both as a skilled pilot and as a person. The tour takes you across the island, offering breathtaking perspectives of Kona that no photo could ever capture. It’s an unforgettable way to see the island’s true beauty.

This was a wonderful experience! Safe and fun. The pilot, Robbie, was informative and made the trip fun. We saw all of Kauai. I especially enjoyed when the pilot made gentle turns so everyone could see the scenery, such as the waterfalls. Well worth it.

The tour with sea cliffs was incredible! Our pilot, Matt was very knowledgeable and personable, making the tour even more fun! We even saw some whales crossing a channel!! I could not recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters enough.

Pilot Chris was incredible and this flight was the highlight of our lives truly and amazing flight of countryside, coastline that takes your breath away.

The highlight of our vacation. An unforgettable experience. The helicopter ride gave us a unique perspective on the beauty of the Big Island. We had spectacular views of the coastline, sea cliffs, tropical rainforests, lush valleys and the many waterfalls with our Hilo Waterfall Experience tour. The reception from the ground staff was very warm and we immediately felt welcome. This was followed by the weight check, safety video, time for questions and answers and information on seating placement. On our flight with the Airbus EC130 “Eco-Star” there were only 4 passengers of approximately the same weight, so we were able to choose our own seating arrangement. It is recommended to wear dark solid colored clothing to reduce reflections from the windows in the photos. A high-resolution video is recorded of the flight, which you can receive immediately on the USB stick after the flight after paying. The recording is made from the external and internal cameras and includes comments from the pilot and passengers and the music that played during the flight. Our pilot was great and passionate about it. Thanks David. As a certified tour guide, he had exceptional knowledge of Hawaiian history, culture, flora and fauna. We would book a flight with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter again at any time. It was amazing. Each tour is certainly unique and special and worth the money.
