This was our first time on the Big Island, and this trip has been amazing! We stayed on the Kona side, which has less rain, as opposed to the Hilo side, which gets more rain than Seattle! (That's a lot of rain). However, for our flight day, in December no less, we had blue sky and no rain! Our pilot, Scott, said that he normally is flying from rain pocket to rain pocket, but that there was basically no chance of rain for us. He took us over the miles and miles of lava rock, explaining the history and sharing fun facts. He answered all our questions and was very funny. This was the perfect helicopter tour and if we could have turned back around after getting of the helicopter to get right back on, we definitely would have. Thank you Blue Hawaiian, and especially Scott Jorgensen for the perfect tour.

Wow - even better than I expected and my hopes were high. Great views, beautiful day. Absolutely perfect. If I could have gotten back in the helicopter and done it again, I would have. This is really an experience not to be missed. Kauai is so amazing and this is absolutely the best way to see it.

Rick was absolutely perfect! He is not only very knowledgeable about the history of the island but also extremely articulate and easy to understand. His calm demeanor was comforting to us as this was both of our first helicopter ride. We were unsure how we would feel about it beforehand, as this was a wedding gift. After being blown away by the beauty of everything we are eternally grateful this experience came our way. The music playing on the headset also set a great tone for the ride and we can honestly say we couldn't be more pleased with this experience. Mahalo to Blue Hawaiian for being the best!
It would be great if you could provide some polo mints or sweets in the helicopter to prevent air sickness. it was a great experience to see this beautiful Hawaii on air! Hope to come again.
