I booked the 2 hr spectacular with waterfall landing. I have 2 in our family who were a bit worried about heights. My husband doesn’t even like to fly and it took me 30yrs to get him on a helicopter. Our whole family loved it and we will look into helicopter rides in the future. We flew over the volcano and were able to see active lava flows spewing. They were smaller spews but that is what the volcano was doing at the time. There is no way you could see this without a helicopter. The pilot was sure to circle twice in each direction so both sides of helicopter could get good views and photos. The waterfall is also remarkable and totally inaccessible any other way. A tip to folks booking to book early if you want this option. We found out they sell out fast as they have 7 helicopters but only 2 are able to land at the waterfall in any time slot. So I was glad that I had booked early. The last most amazing inaccessible thing we did was fly through a valley. Was so amazing. Tall waterfalls everywhere. Since my family had some afraid of heights if you think it would be scary. Don’t be. It does not feel like an airplane or like standing next to the window on an observation deck. It has the sensation of a car. I didn’t feel anything and I had a window seat and I am one who can’t stand by the window on a high floor and have trouble with high foot bridges. The pilot also had extensive knowledge of the island and gave good commentary when flying. Remember the rule of dark clothing as it reflects off the windows. I hadn’t read instructions well before I left for home and had only light T-shirt’s. Luckily I was able to buy a navy T-shirt in theie gift shop and was so worth it. I got many good photos but some were affected my glare and the glare was coming from my light skin and hair.

Jeremy was a superb pilot. Very professional and exceptionally capable. He did a great job of making sure everyone in the aircraft, regardless of where they sat, had the same great experience. This is our third time flying Blue Hawaiian - we always use them because they make it so easy and enjoyable from start to finish.

Omg! Still amazed 9 hours later! Our pilot Devin was great and showed us some breathtaking spots up close. Was my first time on a helicopter and now I can't wait to fly again. Obsessed and So glad we did it. Worth the cash. Thanks bluehawaiian!

Spend the money. Take the tour. Its worth every penny. For an extra $40 you can get a video of the trip on a flash drive that you can share with family when you get home. We lucked out and got to sit together. Be prepared to possibly be split up as the seating is based on balancing the weight in the helicopter. It really wouldn't matter since you are so preoccupied taking in the views and experiencing the flight.

We split our time living in Hawaii and California and we have been to many touristy things in our lives since everyone visit us no matter which place we live. And this experience tops all tours. Absolutely do this if you can afford it. Kauai, very different from other islands in Hawaii, have many different areas that simply do not have roads lead to them. The air tour is the best way to go. The Blue Hawaiian is the best service with the quietest helicopters. Beth, the pilot made my little's 40th bday an amazing day. The tour takes you deep into some of the valleys and very fly very closely to the sites. The thoughtfulness of how the story lines juxtaposed the scenery we saw was constructed to perfection. We cannot be more thankful for the awesome experience! Thank you Blue Hawaiian and Beth, for an amazing memory.

So much fun.  Best way to see the island.   Scott G was our pilot. He was wonderful and full of great info and his calm demeanor made us all so comfortable.  A must do.

Sarita and I want to thank Brody for an exceptional helicopter ride this afternoon! We loved getting such a fun and informative tour from a Kauai native. Really cool experience! It gave me an appreciation of the lava flows and volcano. Our pilot was very informative and helped us appreciate what we were seeing even more. Would highly recommend this tour!

The trip was the best experience in Hawaii. We got to see whales and volcanoes as an extra bonus. Our pilot Hugo was a blast to be with and made for a great trip. Highly recommend, well worth the money.

Jeremy was an excellent pilot and guide! We had an incredible time in the air. It was a truly unique experience to see the crater and lava flows from the air, and we appreciated Jeremy's insight and explanations of what we saw. To top it off, he had great song choices for the occasion. Highly recommend!
