A VERY NICE RIDE.
I had a blast listening to all of the stories of the island!
My helicopter ride was more than incredible. Tony, our guide had a lot of knowledge to share with us and kept us interested the whole flight. The ride was smooth and fun! At first I was so scared but than Tony explained how everything works and I felt very calm. I really hope that I can come back and do the tour again and learn even more.
Nothing short of amazing...what a great experience from start to finish. Tony was a great pilot - calm and informative. A must-see/must-do on Kauai. Thank you Blue Hawaiian for a memorable experience!
Pilot Brody, You were AMAZING! It's clear you have so much love for your home and it was wonderful to be able to see this beautiful place through your eyes. Thank you for making today's flight so memorable. Maholo! Mariam and Andrew
Brody did an awesome job! We loved it! Thank you!
Great pilot, great aircraft, great views.
Barrett is the best. Very personable and enjoyable. Aloha
This a fantastic experience. Pilot Rodie was wonderful.
Marco was awesome! Amazing views, interesting conversation. Thank you!
Greg did a great job today. My family's first helicopter trip and he kept us educated, entertained and flew a great, smooth ride. He's like your buddy you would invite over for a barbeque but is delivering this once in a lifetime experience. Kudos Greg and thanks Blue Hawaiian! #onceinalifetimetrip!
awesome experience.
Fabulous!!! Barrett, very informative, and patient with us. Got very close to some beautiful scenery, with very little bumps~~ thanks, Barrett!!!
Excellent helicopter ride. We had a great pilot captain Casey. It was very scenic. We saw lava. Helicopter ride was cool because you got to take off from Hilo airport. Casey was lots of fun!
Simply put: probably THE BEST tour/excursion I've ever been on in my entire life! Our family of five booked the 2-hr Big Island Spectacular Tour out of Waikoloa on Dec 29th, capping off the end of a wonderful 2 week Hawaiian vacation.our pilot, Jay, was a wonderful tour guide and great aviator...I was very impressed at his ability to fly, talk to us, and make radio calls to other traffic and ground controllers with ease. We circled the island from Waikoloa, heading up between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa and immediately over to Kilauea, were we got excellent views of lava inside the craters as well as some lava breakouts on the plains. Then it was over to Hilo and up along the eastern coast, where we saw a couple groupings of whales in the water during their seasonal migration. Then it was up into the valleys in Hamakua, which were breathtaking. Jay's playlist selection of the Jurassic Park theme music as we swooped in and around the lush green valleys with waterfalls was breathtaking...I expected to see dinosaurs running along the cliff tops at any moment! We concluded by going around Kohala, down past Parker Ranch, and back into Waikoloa. The Blue Hawaiian experience was top-notch from start to finish. Check-in/weigh-in/safety brief were a breeze, and we were only delayed a couple minutes from our 9:15am start time while waiting for the helicopter to refuel from its earlier flight. I was a bit nervous about the possibility of airsickness, but Jay kept everything smooth and stable. There were a few tight turns as he maneuvered so everyone on both sides could get the best views, but nothing that would make anyone overly queasy. The cabin of the aircraft stayed cool, and there was an individual air conditioning vent for each passenger (the cool air also helped control any potential queasiness). We did not have a mid-point stop in Hilo, but others have told me that is sometimes an option and can also help calm the stomach if needed. Will you pay a premium price for this experience? Sure. Is it worth every penny? You bet. Make sure this is on your Big Island bucket list...Blue Hawaiian does not disappoint.
