Glenda was our pilot and from the music she chose for our 45 minute journey, to the wealth of knowledge she has of the islands we had an incredible trip! The flight was really smooth and we saw many of the remote areas that we would not have been able to see on land.
A beautiful fun adventure, also very informative! Excellent ride, Will always have fond memories of this!!!!! Rick was GREAT!! Thanks so much, ~Mary Stow
My husband and I chose the West Maui Mountains and Molokai tour. I was seated at the window in the back and he right beside me. The view was great from everywhere. For me, it was a first in a helicopter, so that experience was neat and seeing Molokai and the tallest seaside cliffs in the world was awesome from the sky! I couldn't hear my pilot very well so missed a lot of the narrative, which was unfortunate but my husband filled me in. The sights were fabulous, our weather was perfect and I made sure to take dramamine before going just in case I got a bit motion sick, which some people complain of. I was fine and I get sick pretty easy. The waterfalls were fantastic to see from the helicopter. I would do another tour of the volcano next time with the same company. We were treated very well, it was very well organized.
Susan was a gem!! My mom is oxygen dependent and wasn't able to go on the trip. Susan spent over an hour trying to accommodate and find another tour company to assist us. While we weren't successful in getting my mom on the trip, I was able to do the tour. the trip was incredible. Our guide was fantastic and this was truly an experience of a lifetime!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Circle Island tour of Maui, We were seated in the back, I had the window seat and my husband was beside me. The views were truly amazing, we saw whales within the first couple of minutes. Rick our pilot was very friendly and informative. We got to see parts of the island that is only visible and accessible by helicopter. The flight was very smooth and I look forward to our next helicopter flight with this organisation on our next visit to Hawaii.
I had complete confidence in them. My one disappointment was that when I signed up, I told them I wanted the type of helicopter where I could open a window and take pictures without the reflective glare. They chose not to address the issue, and I must admit it was my fault for not following up if it was so important to me, but the fact is, this was not that kind of helicopter. As a result I didn't not get any truly excellent photos. The Hawaiian music in the headset got repetitive on our one hour tour. Overall, I wouldn't bother to do it again, but if I did, I'd see no reason not to use Blue Hawaiian (except for the window thing).
We did the west maui/Molokai tour with Justin on Jan 8, 2015. We were in an A star helicopter, which we thought was fine. Justin is very knowledable and funny. I would give them a 10 star if tripadvisor allows. The ground crew and check in staff were all super friendly, definitely Hawaiian spirit. We even purchased the dvd for $26(with tax) which was a recording of our flight. Thanks blue Hawaiian you guys rock!
We did the 65 minute Maui tour. Pilot was great and knew his stuff. Tour was great and saw everything the island had. On the mist do list. Next time we'll take another tour with Blue Hawaii but another island :)
I love flying and so doing this trip was a 'no-brainer'. We chose the 1 hour, whole island tour. Gee, it was so good. We were very comfortable in the helicopter and had great views of everything. Often the pilot would circle around so that everyone had a chance to see the spectacular valleys and waterfalls. We even saw whales and the pilot circled so that we all got a view. Flying in to some of the valleys was a bit nerve racking but we felt very safe the whole time. We saw many things which just would not be possible any other way. THIS IS A MUST DO TOUR when on Maui. Rick the pilot was very knowledgeable and not only gave a good running commentary but also answered all our questions. A brilliant way to see the island. Even if you do the road trip around the island, do this as well. They are very complimentary tours.
Flying over the island of Hawaii in our Blue Hawaiian helicopter was probably one of our most favorite vacation memories. For a family of 5, we had the helicopter to ourselves. Our pilot was wonderful – providing interesting commentary along the way. And the views were spectacular – particularly of the volcano eruption which is hard to see from land. If you want to see the lava coming out of Kilauea this is the best vantage to see nature’s fury. And hovering over and down the waterfalls was amazing. The flight was smooth but for those that have a little motion sickness, bring some gum or take a little medicine because of all the turns. While a bit expensive for the tickets, definitely worth the new perspective you’ll get on your Hawaiian vacation!
Amazing and Beautiful Experience! My son and I took the West Maui and West Molokai tour on New Year's Day 2015 and it was the most amazing and beautiful tour experience in a helicopter. We saw the cliffs, gorgeous shorelines as well as the sugar cane fields of West Maui. Then we saw cliffs, shorelines and waterfalls of West Molokai! Spectacular! The pilot "Rick" was very knowledgeable with his history of the islands and provided a great synopsis of West Maui and Molokai. He let us enjoy the sites as well without too much talking. He was very courteous and always attentive to flying and the safety of all those onboard. He also pointed out a whale and some manta rays. Loved the tour! Wished it could have lasted the entire day! My son loved it! Loved the music too! Just beautiful, would do it again and recommend this tour to anyone! Arlene & Antonio
We had a wonderful helicopter ride in Maui. I booked the Eco-Star helicopter which was very comfortable. My daughter and I were alone in the back seat for this tour and we both got a window seat. I purchased the video that they provided of the actual tour we were on. The pilot was excellent and the staff very professional.
For those visiting Hawaii on a holiday, and into nature, not seeing the remoteness of what the islands has to offer would leave you leaving short changed. You could hike and climb, or you could go on a helicopter. Ok, not cheap but if added to the total cost, it washes out. You'll see parts of the island you just wouldn't see. We saw whales (only in winter months), waterfalls, and mountains. Molokai is the option to choose. So secluded and untouched. What Hawaii must have looked like before Capt Cook. A must see and do.
Our flight was very comfortable and informative, the pilot was great. When the pilot talked it was a nice blend of information and then nice background music, not too much chatter, just the right amount. The view from the air was spectacular! You see parts of Maui that you can only see from the air, amazing experience, well worth the money spent.
We did the tour of Maui/Molokai. The tour was really breathtaking. You really see the islands in a different light when doing this type of tour. Our Pilot was great, never knew until after the flight we were flying in 30mph winds. The tour was informative and have great Hawaiian music to go with it. My wife and I were very impressed with the views. I was bummed to find the audio for the dvd option did not work but the video views were still amazing. Would do again for sure.
