I took a scenic flight over Kauai as part of a full-day excursion with NCL's "Pride of Hawaii" on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. This was a wonderful experience. The ride was smooth and we got to see so much of the island and its beautiful, rugged scenery. The pilot provided a very helpful narration and I enjoyed the themed musical backdrop as well. I purchased the souvenir video at the end -- the only thing that marred it (just slightly) is that there was some sort of dirt on the camera enclosures that I wish they'd cleaned before we took off.

I just wanted to say that my wife and I had the most wonderful experience with our helicopter tour. The staff was very professional and even though our original tour was canceled due to a problem with the AC on the helicopter, we were re-booked and upgraded for a full tour of Maui. Our pilot Tim was very knowledgeable about the island features and we had a very smooth flight. We had a very pleasant experience that we will always remember. I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. I can't wait for our next trip to the islands.

First time in Hawaii we decided to stretch the budget just enough to experience it fully. I always wanted to fly in a helicopter, and it felt like Maui is a great first place to try it. We booked our flight with Blu Hawaiian through their website. Took me some time to decide which package to go with, and I ended up picking the middle option (per our hotel's concierge's recommendation) which included the two parts of the island. The advertisement said in the fine print that the pictures are not exactly the same as the actual flight (pictures are closer etc) so I expected I'll need my binoculars to see anything. The flight was just the opposite, we got to see all the sights and waterfalls from close distance and Mike, our pilot, even made sure to make special turns to ensure that all passengers get a good view of the sights. Mike also made sure he knows all of us by name, and that he can pronounce our names correctly. He talked to us the entire flight. Asking questions, pointing relevant information etc. He made sure to know which hotels our group was from to point them out from the air when we passes by them. Towards the end of the flight, my wife got a bit motion sick and as soon as I told him, he made the needed changes to reduce her motion sickness while still keeping the rest of the group entertained from the views on our way back. Not less important, the entire flight was captured in HD using 4 cameras (1 inside and 3 outside) which was sold in full HD quality for a small extra fee on a memory card to view at home. The video included the background music we listened to through the Bose noise cancellation headphones throughout the flight as well as the internal communication channel track. The pilot switched between the cameras so that it captured the most relevant part of the flight. For example, every time he talked to any of us, he switched to the internal camera. This was an amazing experience and highly recommended if you can squeeze it into your budget.

Our helicopter ride was cancelled because of Hurricane Iselle, but the company was amazing and we were refunded immediately. Will definitely book again when we go back.

An spectacular way to explore the island - with awasome waterfalls and glowing lava - John, our pilot on the Eco-Star, did an excelent job - smoth flying while sharing all his knowlede about the island with us - great choice in music and jokes :) Money well spend

After the famous Road to Hana, we splurged and decided to take the tour of Maui with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters that was recommend to us by Ashley (Expedia). The staff was wonderful and they made us feel right at home. Rick was our pilot for our flight and we found out that he use to live about 2 miles from us. Destiny, I say. This is one of the best ways to see the Island of Maui and I will definitely do this again. The staff are the greatest and make you feel special. Thanks to everyone who helped make our first helicopter ride a great experience. Fly high Rick and be safe. That’s all there is to it! Thank you so much!

We had a group of 12 split between 2 helicopters and all had a wonderful experience. We did the tour over Molokai and Maui and it was fun to see Molokai - so much untouched, pristine land. Our pilot was great and very informative. He answered all of our questions! Definitely worth the money if you have never done a helicopter tour here before. Years ago I used a different company and both were good, but Blue Hawaiian has a very impressive fleet of helicopters!

This was truly a once in a lifetime experience! We toured the big island of Hawaii with our pilot Jason who was an amazing tour guide for this trip. The ride took us between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa from Waikola to the Volcano Park. There we saw the caldera full of molten lava, scientists working in the East Rift zone and the lava flowing towards Hilo through the forest. Keep your expectations of lava in check! The amazing photos you see of lava spewing forth only occur during an eruption. However, what you will see is lava pockets and lakes. Hawaii does not have violent explosions - they call them gentle giants for a reason! From there we flew over Hilo to the rainy side of the island and viewed the amazing 2000 ft tall waterfalls on the north end of the island. Overall an amazing experience with a fun, well trained pilot! Do it if you're on the edge about it! best $350 I've ever spent!!!

What a fantastic way to see Maui and Molokai....I was so nervous so didnt catch our pilots name(he was from Austria) was very interesting listening to everything he was saying about the areas we were flying over.....highly recommend a helicopter ride with these guys very professional and friendly staff.....hope we get a chance to come back again oneday thank you....

Did the west Maui nad Molokai tour. We have done this twice once in the Winter and in the Summer. The Winter is better when the whales are to be seen, however, the scenic beauty as you travel over the various landscapes are spectacular. On this trip if you are on the right side of the copter be sure to ask the pilot to turn so the ocean isn't the majority of what you see

Having been to Hawaii several times, I've heard from may people how great helicopter tours were. I was always a skeptic as my days in the military did not leave me with a high opinion of helicopters. But, I finally let curiosity get the best of me and booked the West Maui and Molokai trip for my birthday. All I can say it, why did I wait so long! The check in was easy and the safety video, easy to follow. We were escorted out to our waiting helo pretty quickly. Seating is done by weight and balance so you don't get to pick your seat. They tell you where to sit. We booked the Eco Star and I would definitely recommend this upgrade. The seating is in bucket seats, the windows are much larger, and the back seats are elevated. This makes for great views wherever you sit. I was directly behind the pilot and could easily look out the front windshield and right side windows as well as the huge windows on my side. Our pilot was very sure and steady. He gave great commentary and was fun to talk to. I was surprised how close we got to the valley walls and waterfalls. Absolutely breathtaking! I've never been on the ground in Molokai but after seeing it from this perspective I don't think I'd want to. It would be a let down after what we saw. This tour really showed us the inaccessible but beautiful valleys that make up the island as well as some great places in West Maui. It was fun to pick out our condo on Ka'anapali as we returned to Maui. Then we made a quick dip into the west Maui mountains and popped out on the other side just above the golf course. I can't say enough good things about the tour and Blue Hawaiian. Well organized, professional and worth every penny. I will definitely do another trip with them on whatever island we visit next.

We did the "Maui and Molokai" tour. Tehcnically: Expected duration "45 to 50" minutes. Our flight last 49 minutes Landscapes and waterfall were awesome and with saw much more than only driving or hiking. Nevertheless, dont expect any aeronotic thrill. It was like being seated in the living room watching tv. Great views but no thrill. Still wondering if it was worth the money.

The service was great we watched a safety video and then we went outside and went up in the air. The dip was scary to me other then that I did ok I got a lot of great pictures.
