Best vacation experience I have ever had! Worth every penny! Was about an hour and was the perfect amount of time.  Very professional from start to finish.  I assume all of the pilots are great and entertaining but we had Ryan and he did an outstanding job!

My husband, 10yo daughter and I had an amazing experience on the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour while visiting Kauai.  It was an awesome way to see the breathtaking island.  Our pilot Beth was professional, friendly and so knowledgeable with fun facts during our tour.  She also made sure we saw the sites by hovering and rotating the helicopter for both sides to get the amazing views!  She made the tour unforgettable.  It was one of the top highlights of our trip and we are so glad we did it!!

Scott was great. Helicopter ride over the volcano? Sure that sounds incredibly safe... but Scott made it just that! Amazing pilot with cool music tracks that matches the scenery creating this magical moment that'll left me breathless. This is a must do in Big Island, plus swimming with stingray, swimming with wild dolphins and stargazing tour.

We booked a ring of fire helicopter tour with Blue Hawaii for two on 7/3. The check in was easily since we were first group scheduled to fly out at 9 AM. The staff is courteous and friendly. We went through their safety video and debriefing. Then, when we were ready to board, we were told our flight is cancelled due to poor visibility. We were told the ring of fire tours  all sold out but we could book different helicopter tours. It was not clear whether we could transfer our fee to another booking. However, the refund for the cancelled tour will take up to 10 days to be refunded. Since most of us have to make plan to get to Big Islands (flight, hotels, rental cars, etc.) It will be difficult to put another $1000 on credit card while waiting for the refund. We know the risk of cancellation depending on FAA clearance, weather, etc.. but here are few things Blue Hawaiin could have changed in their policy. 1. The fee should not be charged until the customers get on the helicopter! Paradise Helicopter tour offers this policy. 2. There is no effort to accommodate or offer later tours. We found out that they were able to fly the next tour scheduled at 10 AM on the same day! We were not offered to wait to see whether the visibility would improve! 3. There was no information regarding how many flights were cancelled or took off in the past week on the website. From reading some reviews on TripAdvisor, it seems they do cancel their flights often. (We should have read these reviews before booking.) The only reason why they did not get one star because their staff seems to be professional and courteous! The check-in process is organized... and we understand that they probably hate to cancel the flight as much as we do.. but we probably will go with Paradise Helicopter tour in stead (when we called Paradise and spoke with their booking agent, they do have extra flights later on of the week... unfortunately, we could not make it!)

Incredible way to see the island. 45-50 min flight plus prep time. Very skilled pilots give you a tour. Only downside, If there is one, is that 2 people will not have window seats. I had a middle seat and it was still spectacular. Staff is friendly and helpful. Even if you’re afraid of heights, this is one tour you want to hit, especially if the lava is flowing.

terrific - awesome ride

We did this flight the second day we were there and very glad we did as the next several days they were unable to fly and so had to cancel a lot of flights. I would tell anyone wanting to book a flight while you are staying in Hilo to do it on your first day in case weather prevents you from going you will have other chances. It was well worth the money to see lava coming out of fissure #8 and flowing to the ocean and right now it is as close as you can get to it legally.

Pilot was excellent (Brandon). The ride was very smooth and Brandon provided us with a lost of information during the trip. Will love to do it again!

Fantastic flight and breath taking views!

Our pilot, Shane, was amazing! Very knowledgeable. We flew over gorgeous valleys and lava flow! Experience of a lifetime!

Scott our bus guide and Rick our pilot were both great. Swimming in waterfalls, the flight up Haleakala, all really memorable. The swim at the black sand beach was another great highlight. Thanks! Our son rates it 50 out of 10.
