I really enjoyed the volcano helicopter tour on the big island of Hawai'i. We got to see aerial views of the island including towns, solidified lava paths to the ocean, an active cauldron, and waterfalls. We decided on the helicopter tour, because the boat tours have been suspended due to no lava flow at the coastline. We did get to see some lava flow closer to the cauldron and boiling inside it. The staff was friendly and made us feel safe. Price is steep but well worth the trip.

Flew right around the volcano that erupted the next day without them or any officials really being able to predict anything. It was a very risky but good tour with knowledgeable and friendly personnel behind the counter and in the air. The kicker to the story is I really was bummed the volcano had no visible lava around or inside of it just boring white smoke.... then.......POOF! Eruption, earthquakes, lava and more lava ALL over the news. Be careful what u wish for!

Our 9am got canceled due to poor visibility. We appreciated that they didn’t herd tourists out without the chance to see what was being paid for. We got on a 5.00pm helicopter tour. It was really great. Our Pilot Esther was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The delay gave us time to explore Hilo more. Did the zoo. King Kamahamahes statue. The Naha stone. And, then petted baby goats. Saw rainbow falls and Akaka. Perfect ending was @BlueHawaiianHelicopters

Our pilot Kory was fantastic- very knowledgeable about the island and especially the volcano, fissures, etc - we got to see fissure 8 erupting and lava flowing in the ocean. Quite the experience we will never forget!

Outstanding experience. The island is so beautiful from the air. A must-do while on the island. It's a bit pricey and I am not sure that the actual views are better than with a cheaper company (which can be found at half the price BH charges), but everything about this company is quality so we felt it was worth every penny. The wife had goose bumps from the beauty almost the entire tour. Our pilot was great, very informative. Tip: you can get $20 discount if you book online. This is something everyone has to do, you will never forget the experience in your whole life.

We felt incredibly fortunate to be with the pilot who flew us on our trip.
