Blue Hawaiian Helicopter has surpassed all expectations and fulfilled a dream for a little boy who wish in life was to see lava. Thank you for the entire staff for the fulfillment of this wish. Hendrickson Family.

Pros -See large portion of island that you would not normally see (70% inland inaccessible by vehicle). -professional. Our pilot was Brody. Great job. Shared many cultural aspects. -video of flight ($) Cons -guests who do not wear dark clothes...totally spoils pictures!

Once we got to the airport, Blue Hawaii took the time to make sure we knew where to go and how to put on our flotation device. Our pilot's name was Wesley and he took the time to get to know each and everyone in the helicopter. My wife and I were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and we couldn't think of celebrating it any other way. Wesley took us over waterfalls and the Mauna Laua Macadamia nut farm and then proceeded to take us to Kilauea volcano. Wesley did an excellent job showing us all the scenery (He even flew over our cruise ship). Again as I stated earlier, this was our 25th Anniversary and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters made our day a day to remember.

We booked a helicopter tour to see the eruption at fissure 8 since most of Volcano National park remains closed. We had a wonderful ride with our pilot Esther. She was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a smooth ride even though the weather was raining and breezy. This was my one must do activity for the island and it was a knockout.

We came to Hawaii to see a volcano, and see it we did. Forget the lava boats - this is the way to do it. We had about 40 minutes over the lava flow, with our pilot, Adi (great job!) giving us all plenty of time to view the scene and take numerous photos. The Ecostar is an amazing helicopter, very comfortable, with views from all seats and quiet. The noise-cancelling headsets are an excellent feature and helped with the commentary. I sat in one of the seats in the middle (one seat away from the window) but had absolutely no difficulty with the view and taking photos. Wear dark clothing to reduce reflections from the windows. We booked on line a month or so out, and that was an easy process. Checking in was relatively easy although there were a few occasions where we thought the information on the process could have been clearer. The loading and take-off process was very efficient with 4 heli's leaving at the same time. All in all, well worth the money.

We have travelled from Dubai and wanted to experience another part of USA. Hawaii, Maui being so far away we decided we had to experience as much as we could in our week here. What an amazing experience BLUE SKY HELICOPTERS - great machine and an awesome pilot who took his job seriously but also was informative and personable and friendly, all made it absolutely worth the money. The champagne stop along the way made the experience even more memorable.

Jack the pilot was a great tour guide and the scenery spectacular. We'll do it again!!

What a great ride! Pilot was amazing!!! Ground crew was also great. Front desk was not friendly at all. We pretty much had to implore for our flight video. The video should be free based on the cost of the flight per person. To Brian: we had a great time. You were awesome man. Cheers

Great tour company from the pickup service at our hotel (Sheraton Waikiki) to the actually flight itself. We were on my son's Make-A-Wish trip to Hawaii and had a really great time (except my daughter who got air sick...). We took the 60 minute tour (July 23, 2018) and it was fantastic! In all reality, I'm sure the 30 minute tour would be enough too. Our pilot Loran was great! His attitude and personality were fun and of course his pilot skills were good and safe. He showed us tons of stuff (points of interest) from the air that we eventually visited later on our trip (thanks Loran!). We got the video of the tour as well; very well done and has the dialog between the pilot and the guests as well as the interior/exterior camera footage (an added bonus that really helps 're-live' the whole experience). This tour definitely gives you the best view of the island available and although it's spendy, it's well worth it. If you get a chance...take a tour Blue Hawaiian Helicopters!

The flight was very nice, our pilot Wesley was very friendly and sheared with us stories about the island and the volcano. Therefore, we are a little bit disappointed because there was almost no red lava to be seen, in the crater there was some explosions, but we couldn't see the red lava anywhere else, only dry brown rivers. They should advertise themselves with real videos, just to not create expectations of explosions and abundant lava all around...

Most exciting flight with Beth. Beth is a wonderful pilot. What you see on this flight is 90% of Kauai that is owned by private individuals. Waterfall are every where and each beautiful. You can NOT see by car or boat what you can see on this flight. Thanks Beth & thanks Blue Hawiian.
