This was an amazing experience!

Pilot Lauren was great

our tour guides name was Loren. He was amazing. He gave us a lot of information about the island. He made us laugh and comfortable. Very easy flight. definitely would do again!

I booked a last minute flight with Blue Hawaiian, not really knowing what to expect. As I didn’t have a phone, I confirmed everything (including pick up location) via email. It was a super easy process and immediately put my mind at ease. The next morning I was picked up as arranged, and warmly greeted by Angela. She was so nice and welcoming and kept us all updated on what was happening. When we got in the air a short time later, Loren, our pilot was so great. He was funny and engaging, making conversation and keeping everyone entertained. The flight was great and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face but it was the people that made the whole experience a standout. A definite must do, I would highly recommend this company and would fly with them again!

The staff was informative. Our pilot was so knowledgeable and made the trip fun.the views unbelievable.

We did the Ring of Fire tour and it was amazing to see the lava "up close" and in real life.  The magnitude of what is happening and the ferocity of Pele can only be appreciated through the air.  Seeing how the lava is impacting entire sections of the island can't be properly expressed in words. This is not an inexpensive experience by any stretch.  We had to deliberate for a long time before biting the bullet.  Cost aside, we have two young children 9 and 6 with us. Our 9 yo daughter was not entirely convinced that she would go.  She had said yes, but it wasn't guaranteed.  Further, she and my wife sat in the front seats and on the Eco Star, it had windows at the foot on the floor! I would pick the Eco Star over the A Star by the way.  My wife told me our daughter closed her eyes off and on during the takeoff, but otherwise loved it!  My 6 yo son and I sat in the back and he loved it too. Our pilot was awesome and answered a bunch of questions our son had.  There were A LOT of other helicopters in the air!  The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was that during the waterfall portion, not only were we really far away (flight restrictions, I'm sure), but we flew over them pretty quickly. TIP: The check-in is IN the airport.  We saw a bunch of Blue Hawaiian helicopters right after you enter the airport on the left and thought that was the check-in...it isn't.  Drive into the airport and park in the lot and walk over to the terminal.

Esther as well as the ground crew were amazing. Esther made sure to point out the latest lava flows and items that have made news. she was also very attentive to answering questions from our kids. We will make sure we will tell all our friends and family to use Blue Hawaiian!!!

Absolutely, #1 activity to do while in Maui. Breathtaking + Staff are awesome! Defiantly spring for the EcoStar!
