Absolutely a spectacular tour. Our pilot Brandon was very informative and he's a great Pilot. I know, because I was the Captain at Los Angeles Fire Air Operations.

My husband & I did the Circle of Fires plus Waterfalls tour on the Ecostar - such an amazing way to view the Big Island from the air. We went with our 4 year old son who was just completely in awe the whole flight. After a seamless & quick check in at the airport with a short safety demonstration, we were soon taking off over the sights of Hilo & towards the lava flow from the recent eruption which devastated Leilani Estates. It was just incredible to fly over the area & see the steam vents & fumes coming out of Fissure 8. Sadly the lava had stopped flowing about a week before. The pilot was very knowledgeable & had everyone introduce themselves & say where they were from. He made sure to circle around all the sights so that both sides got fantastic views. The sights over the volcano left me speechless & I didn't want it to end. The waterfalls were probably a little disappointing but overall an amazing experience & would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Big Island. Was given some great tips by our pilot on places to eat in Hilo & enjoyed the refreshments once we were back.

I did the 45 minute tour and it was absolutely amazing to see the Waimea Canyon and Na Pali Coast from the air. Scheduling was very easy through their website. The pilot was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was my first time in a helicopter and the seats were comfortable. The first 15 minutes in the air I was fine, but I then started to get some motion sickness, which I was not expecting. So might be something to prepare for if you get motion sick easily. Also, it does get a bit warm, so wear some light clothing. Very cool looking helicopters! I would definitely fly with this company again, what an amazing experience!
