Great time, but people in the front seat have a much better view and have much better opportunity to take pictures.
Amazing views. Very friendly pilot (Guy). Thanks for always turning the copter for both sides to view. Our toddler did great and had a nice nap!
The tour couldn't have been better.
Joff was awesome! Best thing I have ever done.
Awesome scenery, nice island experience. Loren is an amazing pilot.
This was an amazing experience. Loren was the best.
Our family of four adults did the circle of fire tour in the Eco Star. This was our very first helicopter tour, a huge splurge for us, and it was fantastic. We did a lot of research on tour companies. There are many, and I’m glad we ended up with Blue Hawaiian. Through the visible lava flow stopped a few days ago, we enjoyed the tour. Our pilot Scott was awesome! I felt safe at all times. The sights left me speechless for most of the flight, and he knew how to fill those voids with informative and thoughtful descriptions, not at all a canned narrative.
This is the first excursion we did in Kauai. It was INCREDIBLE. I highly suggest doing this on the first day or so that you are there. The views were fantastic even with the rain we had in some areas. Our pilot, Marty, was great too. There was one part we were about to see where some of Jurassic Park was filmed, and you suddenly hear the music from Jurassic Park coming through your head phones, as Marty announces, “Welcome to Jurassic Park”. We was funny, full of information, and entertaining. I had read other reviews about people sitting in the middle back seats not being able to see. I was sat in the back, right window and my 16 year old in the middle seat beside me. You are weighed as soon as you walk in and the computer assigns your seat. I was afraid my son wouldn’t get to see but he actually said it was better because he got a view from both sides. Marty was great at making sure all sides got good views as well. Another suggestion I would make is to book through Expedia. We got it for a cheaper price, as well as a video and T-shirt. We also paid for our trip video which was pretty clear considering it was raining quite a bit. I would love to do this again. Mahalo Marty for making this a great experience!
We flew with the Eco-Star to go see the volcano and land at the waterfall. Spectacular. Lava from Fissure 8 had stopped flowing the night before. We only saw a small pool inside the fissure but no massive flow. Still, a sight to behold. The landing at the waterfall was totally worth it. It felt like being in the Jurassic Park movie, Marco, our pilot, was fun, enthusiastic, professional and very knowledgeable. He really added a lot to the overall experience.
Our family went on a morning flight with pilot Hugo and we had a great time. The staff and crew made a pleasure the fly with them. The cost of about $1000 for two adults and two children is worth the once in a lifetime experience to see Molokai from the air.
Shane was our pilot on Kona on August 7th. We had a remarkable experience. He was able to get between the clouds so we could see the active volcano (lava in fissure 7). He was friendly, especially to the children, and called everyone by name. It was a perfect experience, and we highly recommend Shane. Susan and Michael
Derek was fantastic, thanks :)
Blue Hawaiian was awesome! Lauren did an amazing job piloting the helicopter and explaining the scenery. We had an amazing time and will be flying Blue Hawaii when we visit another island.
the volcano was best - water falls next - did not realize the island is so desolate - a beauty of its own
great but we saw no glowing lava and we did not fly right above the water falls - just stay next to it !
