The counter staff were very friendly. The ground flightline staff were also very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure learning the appropriate Hawaiian greetings from the staff, glad they took the time to have a conversation with us. Our pilot Wesley was awesome and very funny. His landing and take off was the smoothest I've ever experienced and I worked in aviation (CH53E) for 9 years!!

We had an amazing experience on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters! The scenery was amazing, the only way to see all of Oahu, and our pilot Paul was informative and fun. The staff was friendly. It was a definite highlight of our trip and we would recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters to anyone looking for a helicopter tour.

This is DEFINITELY a must do on the Big Island! Although it is somewhat expensive, it is worth it tenfold! You will get an amazing view of the Big Island's extinct volcano, Kohala and it's beautiful valleys and waterfalls. We were especially lucky as it was a clear day with no wind and we were able to fly over a specific portion of the valleys that our pilot said are accessible maybe 20 percent of the time (due to clouds, wind. etc.). The helicopter itself is very comfortable and seats six, not including the pilot. It seemed as if the helicopter was all windows as it gave you an unobstructed view at all times. You can speak with the pilot through the headsets and microphones while you enjoy your visual experience. I cannot say enough positive things about our pilot, Carl. He had a very easy going manner that immediately made you comfortable. He provided you with insight on the sites you were seeing as well as conversing with you about yourself and where you were from. His greatest attribute was his ability to let the scenery speak for itself and let you take in the wonder of the view by not talking over it. He even queued up Jurassic Park audio from time to time to further enhanced the experience. We were all overwhelmed by the beauty of this island and it's coastline. I highly recommend this experience! Blue Hawaiian Helicopters are also available on some of the other Hawaiian islands so check them out when visiting the great state of Hawai'i!

So, I have a fear of heights and it was my first time in a Helicopter. I must say, the company's number 1 priority is safety. We booked our first Volcano tour which had to be cancelled due to the ever changes weather in Hilo.We had a choice to receive a refund or reschedule. So, reschedule we did. Its important to schedule these early in your trip to have time should this be required. So, second time got the green light. What a smooth ride, despite the strong winds. The pilots know what they are doing and you are in one of the top helicopters offered. Yes, its on the pricey side, but what other way can you see the crater of a Volcano. You do feel the G force when he tilts it to the side or does turns. All worth the time and money.

Pilot Casey was fabulous and the company is very professional and courteous. We saw the current lava flow and some great views of Hilo and the volcanoes most recent flows. A four star only because it had a very corporate feel. Thirty of us in a room watching the safety video then lined up in groups to board five helicopters one after the other. For the price I would have expected a bit more personal; but that is my preference.

Spectacular trip. Brodie was excellent with interesting information an commentary. The views were amazing and I would do it again and again and probably see new things each time.
