Highly recommend this view from the sky!!!! Booked through temptation tours and would recommend Gayle for the drive to Hana!

This was the first helicopter tour I have ever taken, but it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the booking process through the end of the tour, this company was friendly, professional, informative and safe. We had done some research on booking a helicopter tour in Maui online, and found many glowing reviews of Blue Hawaiian. Since the website suggested that website reservations needed to be done 5 days in advance, we wound up booking over the phone. One advantage of this is that we found out that they had several “special” tour deals which weren’t on the website. We were able to reserve one of these tours 2 days in advance. The representative on the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. We arrived at the Blue Hawaiian office at Kahalui Airport about 90 minutes early. The office isn’t at the main terminal area, but it was easy to find with a lot of signs in the area. There was plenty of parking, but you do need to pay prior to parking at the automated meter near the entrance. I believe it was $7 for parking, which we were told about when we called to book the trip. In the office we checked in without difficulties. We were weighed (discreetly) by the rep, which helps them to assign seats in the helicopter. There was a brief safety video which we watched with the 4 other people who were taking the tour with us. After that, we were given flotation belts which everyone was required to wear, we were assigned our seats, and we waited for the helicopter to get back from the previous tour. Once our helicopter returned, we were escorted out to board right on time. This was done fairly slowly and individually, and personnel ensure that everyone is buckled in (including shoulder harnesses) and they explained again how to operate the release buckles, exit doors, headsets, etc. Our pilot and tour guide, Glenda, was very informative about the sights we were seeing as well as a very good pilot, The flight was very smooth, she explained what we were seeing, and ensured that both sides of the helicopter got to see all of the sights - these included the many waterfalls of Molokai, whales, and dozens of other sights. Part of our tour also included landing on a small field on Maui where were served an choice of wine, champagne, water or juice. Finally, we took off agin for the short flight back to the airport. After landing we were assisted in exiting the helicopter and escorted back inside. Each couple was given a flash drive with internal and external video from our flight (no extra charge). I really can’t think of anything about the whole experience that I wasn’t happy with. I will certainly be taking future tours with this company when I am back in Hawaii.

Wow! Words cannot describe this adequately. Highly recommend. Suck it up and pay the $. Best money we spent. Bryan the pilot was absolutely terrific.... even for a Vols fan. Seriously, do this.

Fantastic experience. We flew with Beth who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The 50-55 minutes passes very quickly, but we checked and it really was about that long in the air. Our tour traversed nearly the entire island and Beth gave lots of information regarding the geology, legends, history and - of course - movie trivia.

This was definitely a worthy trip. The flight was about 45 to 50 minutes. Our pilot Mark was very knowledgeable of the area, he did a great job pointing out landmarks, narrating the history and geography of the island. The aerial view of Kauai in all its elements, and geological beauty between the ocean line, Napali Coast, the valleys, the waterfalls, was incredibly breathtaking. I would strongly recommend this company, as well as the trip. This is a trip that will live on in your memories.

Blue Hawaiian has a great safety record and came highly recommended - both well deserved. Our pilot sprinkled his fantastic music soundtrack with history, culture, geology and more. We flew for 2 hours from the west to the east coast over the lava fields and smoldering craters. We went on to the Hilo area and saw more than a dozen waterfalls cascading down cliffs on the eastern shore. Flying into and around the valleys was particularly dramatic. Highly recommended.

GREAT RIDE

Definitely a GREAT way to see and experience the diversity of the big island. Our captain was skilled knowledgeable and was constantly turning the helicopter around so everyone could get a great view. Very enjoyable day!

Great flight! Our Pilot, Mike S. was great and very knowledgeable. Even though we flew on a very windy day the flight was still enjoyable. All the staff was friendly. Awesome experience!!
