This was my favorite tourist activity on the Big Island. We did the entire island sightseeing tour with a waterfall landing. So worth it! Gogo was our pilot. He would approach each attraction for both sides to ensure everyone was able to see it and take pictures. Seeing the devastation from Kīlauea, the steam vents, waterfalls, lush hills, cliffs. Just unbelievable sights you could only see by helicopter.

The experience was professional from start to finish. The weigh in is very discreet – you just stand on a mat at the counter and it just appears on the counter staff’s screen so no-one can see or hear your weight. You are provided lockers for your items and progress to a briefing area with video and personalised explanations of what will happen. The process for getting on the helicopter is streamlined and organised for safety. Our pilot Miguel engaged each of the 6 passengers (two in the front and four in the back). We had such great views of Kauai landscape the Na Pali cost and Waimea Canyon plus waterfalls. Just stunning and so different from the land view and sailing views we had done the previous day. The only negative was that some of the passengers had not followed the advice of wearing dark clothing. When taking photos through the glass it was difficult to avoid the reflection of their white shorts and bare legs and arms. Spoiled many of the photos. When getting off the flight staff took a photo of us in front of the helicopter which was nice.

This was incredible. Matt our pilot was super cool. They play great music during the ride. Pictures don't do this justice, you have to do it. I never went on a helicopter before and was apprehensive, but I couldn't believe how safe and chill this was. My kids (5 and 11) loved this. It was so smooth, my 5 year old fell asleep on the ride and she sat in the front seat. I would recommend you spend the 40 bucks to get the video (they tape the entire ride), you will never forget this!

Great tour! So glad we went for the longer tour and it was totally worth it! Matt did a great job and was very knowledgeable. We will definitely recommend Blue Hawaiian to everyone we know.

Fantastic experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and pilot. Good narrative and appropriate soundtrack during the flight.

Did not get to go, 2 helicopters failed preflight, oh well, staff was very good

flight was fantastic but need to work on guest services before flight.....over 2 hrs, meet & greet, bus ride then prep for flight all met with no engagement whatsoever - very poor, no smily faces, friendly greetings, you are going to have a fab day eg great weather,over half hr bus ride first ....nothing at all not even aloha. pilot & flight great though. everything else poor and lets service down.

Jeremy was an excellent pilot and very knowledgeable. A beautiful way to see the island and worth every penny!

A+++++++++ Totally awesome!!! The pilot/ guide Matt was knowledgeable about every portion of the island, and got us into some great viewing spots for the various waterfalls, craters, shorelines, vents, etc. If you only do one tour on the big island....do this one!!!! Mahalo.

Hugo was super funny and very educational. this is my second time flying with Blue Hawaiian and I wont do another company ever.
