We spent 2 weeks in Hawaii and this was the best experience we had. Greg was our pilot. He was informative and his play list for the trip was excellent. We bought the video and are now enjoying it all over again. Highly recommended.
Adi did a great job piloting and narrating! Thank you!

Patron was an awesomely amazing pilot and guide. Easy going and pleasant. Made sure everyone saw all the good views from every vantage point. Go Patron! Sorry about the New Jersey crack! Also awesome sound track! Everyone at Blue Hawaiian, from check in to leaving was pleasant and helpful. Did the one hour whole island tour and it was well worth the price. So many amazing photo opportunities even from the back row. Highly recommend.
One of the coolest things we have ever done! Bryan was a phenomenal pilot and tour guide. The crater and Waimea canyon were beyond beautiful and made for a great Mother's Day for my wife Courtney!
Miguel (our pilot) was simply outstanding. He knew the local area very well and even had a few Dad jokes.
First and foremost, thank you to GREG, our fantastic pilot who made me feel at ease right from his handshake :) Booked the Kohala Coast tour with Champagne landing for my husband's 50 th bday. We were cruise ship passengers but booked separately as it was cheaper. Was impressed that we were still able to use the Blue Hawaiian roundtrip transfers to and from the ship, complimentary. The Blue Hawaiian experience started off perfect. Our bus driver Sue was on time, friendly and pointed out a lava tube along the 30 min drive from the ship docked in Kailua-Kona. Check in was easy and we met Corey who assured us everything would be amazing. We had the most sunny day with blue skies, but even that couldn't calm me. I've recently spent a long time recovering from an accident that entailed a traumatic brain injury, so I wasn't exactly thrilled to be doing something quite so adventurous. However, there is a quote, " Don't let the fear of falling, keep you from flying" and so... on I went and what a beautiful gift it was for the both of us. I got to sit in the front Seat #2 near Greg our pilot and what a sweetheart! He promised us it was a beautiful day for our tour and said we were going to see some stunning scenery. He also told a couple jokes to lighten the mood for me and assured us we could trust everything would be perfect and it truly was. Pre flight I watched as Greg checked every inch of the helicopter as part of his safety check. Then on board, he ran a few more checks and walked me through what the noises were so I wouldn't be scared. Greg kept checking on me all throughout the flight and even warned me when the winds was about to change near the Ridge so that I wouldn't feel scared with the bit of vibration. We took off and landed super gently that it was hard to believe we were even flying! Words don't even capture the beauty of the slices of paradise we saw, so no point in trying to describe the waterfalls, the valleys, the Ridges, the Ocean views. All the while we were touring, Greg was talking to us and playing music which was a quintessential experience of a lifetime. Don't even get me started on the Champagne landing where we had a waterfall on one side of the helicopter, and a palm fringed ocean view on the other. Did I mention the passion fruit dessert squares and glasses of champagne? omg, I can't even express how surreal the moment was. There was only 4 of us plus Greg on the tour so it was like we had the tour to ourselves. As we were flying back to base I had gathered tremendous confidence and trust in our pilot and didn't want the experience to end. I asked Greg if he had the Top Gun song Danger Zone and he actually did and played it for us as we soared over the lush Waipi'o Valley. Are you kidding me???? Freaking amazing. Picture Perfect. Thanks to Blue Hawaiian and our super chill pilot Greg. Catherine B and Ron D
I feel terrible that I cannot remember the name of our helicopter pilot/guide. He was great! (Caucasian male, early 50's, said he had been a helicopter pilot all over the world, not from Hawaii. Wesley maybe?) I imagine it could be slightly awkward for the pilot/guide as it is not easy to have a conversation as everyone wears headphones and can speak to each other by holding down a button on a little microphone--only one person can speak at a time. For the guide, this means that they're doing most of the talking and are not receiving any of the usual verbal responses from people ("oh" "wow" "uh huh") nor really able to look at anyone when they're speaking either. So, could be awkward because they're more or less giving a monologue to people they can't tell are responsive or not. But our pilot/guide handled this with ease -casually talking about what we were seeing, asking us questions, making jokes, and having his own fun, bringing us along with him. He also played music sometimes, which was nice. The tour itself was great--it was really fun getting to fly right over the caldera since there was no activity at the time we were there. Seeing down into it was amazing! We had fun and I would not hesitate to use this company again.
Awesome tour. Pilot Sarah was informed and entertaining.
Paul was excellent, had a great time, knew his island well thanks Noeline & Michael Pullen
