Blue Hawaiian was a great way to see the whole island from the air. The helicopter seated 7 people, three in the front, and four in the back. The computer seats you by weight (you get weighed when you check in) and my husband and I were lucky enough to be in the front two seats beside the pilot. I can't vouch for the experience that the people in the back seat had, but I know that they did not have as good of a view overall. Upon check in you watch a brief safety video and have a safety briefing. You are brought out onto the tarmac and they take a photo of you in front of the helicopter, which is available for purchase afterwards on a plaque. If you are concerned about motion sickness (as I was) I recommend taking dramamine or wearing seabands. I did and I was completely fine. The flight was very smooth, even though it was quite a windy day. The pilot (Kristy) was a great tour guide and the views are spectacular. I would try a tour of Maui or Kauai before doing Oahu again, however. Oahu is quite populated and I have heard that the views on the other islands are even better. It was a neat experience to fly over our resort and view it from the air. The Dole pineapple fields, the big waves on the north shore and the hills and valleys on the island were great to see from the air.

Great way to see Oahu and we had a fantastic Pilot, she was very friendly and took several pass bus when we saw some whales offshore. A must a Help Tours go

My husband and I wanted to do something different. We booked a helicopter tour! We rented a condo in Waikiki, but we had Blue Hawaiian Helicopter pick us up at the hotel across the street. It was 3 hours total from pick up to drop off. The cost for each of us was $225, but we booked months in advance. When you get to Blue Hawaii you check in and they weigh you. They don't tell you what you weigh unless you ask. This was important to balance the weight in the helicopter. Then you watch a short video on safety. From there you go out to the helicopter to your assigned seats (based on weight), but they kept the 3 couples together that we were all with, which was a plus. I took a motion sick pill before we went, since I am prone to that on boats (never been in a helicopter before) and even with the pill I got a bit sick, but did not puke. My husband got very sick and the girl in front did too. Therefor I highly recommend a motion sick pill even if you aren't sure. You want to enjoy the ride. Anyhow it said 45 min helicopter ride...but it was more like 55 min. Got to see the whole island and the view from above Pearl Harbor is incredible. You can buy DVD or pictures after, but I had to deal with my sick husband, so didn't even look at them, but the other couples in our group bought them! Must do activity!! It was fantastic! All the staff was fantastic!

They picked you up from your hotel. they gave you a thorough briefing and safety briefing. the flights was spectacular over the mountain range, along the coast line, over the city and Pearl Harbour. they ensured you had the angles to take pohoto's

I love the quiet technology of the Eco-Star. Seeing all of Oahu from above was a great experience. Visiting Waimea Bay on the North Shore & Mt Ka'ala (highest point on the island), Kaliuwa'a Falls, Pearl Harbor, USS Arizona $ Missouri, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, Ka'a'awa Valley, Mokoli'i Island off Kualoa Point, Makapu'u Point & lighthouse at Kaneohe Bay, sea Life Park, Rabbit Island, & Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

I wanted to see Oahu by helicopter and my husband was happy enough to come along. We had completed a circle island tour by bus the previous day so this gave a very different perspective to the island. We were picked up from our hotel along with others scheduled for a similar time for flight and were provided with a clear, concise but thorough safety briefing by the ground crew, including position numbers for seating so that the aircraft was properly balanced in regard to passenger weight. Those not wearing dark clothing were provided with t-shirts to wear over their clothes to reduce reflections. The sound track that played throughout added appropriate musical counterpoint to the views, including a few bars of the Last Post being sounded softly as we overflew the USS Arizona memorial. Breath-taking, awesome, fantastic, all those superlatives apply. I loved every second of it. Our pilot was relaxed but not casual, confident without being cocky, gave every indication of absolute mastery and being at one with the machine he was flying. I felt absolutely safe in his hands and would fly with him again in a heartbeat. He made certain to rotate the helicopter so that everyone got a good view of the sights and pointed out the many highlights along the way, including the filming locations of many movies and series'. I purchased the memory stick video of our flight, which my 80+ year old parents have found wonderful (the closest they will get to Hawaii) and I have re-watched a number of sections. I hope to visit Hawaii again one day and will certainly look to Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for an aerial tour of other islands. Highly recommended.

Best thing we did in Hawaii!! This is a great company with awesome employees. Everyone was really nice and helpful. We had pilot Paul, who was really knowledgeable and gave us great facts. It was a smooth ride and in which we saw the whole island. Absolutely stunning views!! I highly recommend using this company..

We had a fantastic helicopter trip on Tuesday with a pilot who had flown with the Coastguard for 25 years. She took us on the hour trip right around the Island and saw parts of the Island that we wouldn't have otherwise. I often get travel sick but I was ok on this trip.

Wow! What an outstanding way to see all of Oahu! I'm still in awe! This was THE highlight of our trip. Our pilot, Christopher made it an outstanding perfect flight! Our young children just LOVED it! Loved the fact we could buy a DVD of our entire flight, too. Great customer service, too!

This was a 70th bday gift for my mom, who admittedly was freaked out at first but pilot Spencer put her at ease and she had a blast. She’s still talking about it several days later. One-hour Oahu island tour had amazing views, great narration and interaction with passengers. Blue Hawaiian is one of the few helicopters tours that offers closed window doors vs no doors. Terrific way to see entire island before deciding if you want to sit in traffic to drive it, which could take hours. We were warmly greeted upon arriving by the desk staff. Safety instructor Angela was super friendly, patient and great to work with. Photo/video sales team also had great customer service. Highly recommend this tour. Don’t let initial fear keep you from an amazing experience.

We did the 60 minute tour of the whole of Oahu on our first morning on the island. The tour was well organized and although it was pricey ($1000 for 4 people), it was absolutely worth it. The pilot was amazingly skilled and showed us the whole island, including a few inland scenes like waterfalls and such. It was a great introduction to the island!

The tour is priceless. It was our first time in a Helicopter and Brandon (our pilot) made us feel an incredible experience. The views are amazing. Highly recommendable.

Great complete island tour with Pilot Josh. He's an amazing guide and pilot and will take on on a ride over some of the most scenic spots around Oahu that can only be fully appreciated from the sky. Friendly customer service staff from beginning to the end, everyone there was great.
