Yes, helicopter rides are pricey but well worth the cost. I don’t have another to compare to but felt the professionalism of the pilot and company was excellent. Safety was a priority at all times and the close up views of the island your was incredible.

If there are 10 stars, they deserve it. From check in to boarding to the flight...omg, what an amazing experience. The helicopter was comfortable and it helped that nobody was in seat 6. The temperature and circulation also made the flight comfortable. Now, let's talk about the experience....there is NOTHING that I can say to do it justice. The views are out of this world and you see at least 3 "alien" environments. You cannot come to Kauai and not have this experience. Barrett is the man and we LOVED our flight with him.

This experience has been on my bucket list for a very long time. Blue Hawaiian did not disappoint. An incredible 50 minute tour that met all my expectations. Great pilot and all around fabulous company. Views are so spectacular. Don’t think twice, just do it! You won’t be disappointed!

It's a big, diverse and fantastically interesting place. My knowledge of volcanic activity could fit in a teacup, and this was such a brilliant introduction. Can't learn enough about them now -- have been reading since we got off the helicopter. Our whole experience was great, jokes a little corny, but pilots' knowledge was vast and he was patient with all of our questions. Very, very competent piloting -- we went into canyons and all around the cauldron. Really wish we had seen the 2018 lava flow, and fissure 8 - but other than that - a great adventure.

As for someone who is afraid of heights and likes to stay on the ground, I was hesitant on going on this tour. I did sign up anyway because my wife kept begging me to take her on it, and for our honeymoon I said what they heck let’s go. I was hoping to get one of the back seats with her just so I wouldn’t have to see everything as much and I wouldn’t get woozy. With the power of God, I some how was destined to have the seat right next to the pilot. It turned out to be one of my best personal experiences on our honeymoon! Our Pilot, Laoren, was very educated and knew how to involve everyone on the tour. I believe he told us he was an ex-Black Hawk Pilot and it made sense because he drove the helicopter flawlessly. He showed us all throughout Oahu and gave us background information on all the neat things the island has to offer. I believe if it wasn’t Laoren as my Pilot that day I wouldn’t have had such a memorable experience as I did with him. I would HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this tour to anyone wanting to experience all of the beauty the island has to offer and from a view not many get to enjoy.

This was an amazing experience! I can’t recommend it enough, a must do!! Staff was very professional and made us feel very safe and cared for.

My family and I loved the experience! It was our first time on a helicopter, and the staff there was very friendly and went over important safety details. Our pilot Koji was so knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure to point out all the highlights and details of during the tour, and our ride was smooth and comfortable.

Wow! Probably our most expensive 90 minutes on Maui so far, but absolutely worth it. Our pilot Matt was Fantastic! Great Experience Start to Finish. We are already looking forward to doing this again on our next trip.

To begin the staff was professional and knowledgeable- Toshi was our pilot and I loved him. Smart, funny, personable... he made the ride unforgettable. The volcanoes were breathtaking and the waterfalls with the landing was awe inspiring. Kilauea was not bubbling over with lava but we still saw some lava in the caldera and it was perspective shifting. Such a beautiful way to see the island and truly one of a kind experience. Also toshi’s photography skills were so handy at the waterfall!

Fabulous! Worth every penny. 1st time on helicopter, 1st time to Maui. Don't miss it!

Great tour! Blue hawaiian rocks.

My teen son and I took the Circle of Fire tour out of Hilo in April 2021. We had been to the island and Volcanoes Park on a previous trip. I regretted not flying over then, so it had to be done. Wesley was our pilot and guide and he did a great job. He had his first lesson at 16 and he has been flying ever since. He's raising a family there, so that was a nice perspective to share. Wesley was very knowledgeable about the island and EVERYTHING we flew over. Highlights = When they made Michigan lady don a real mask instead of the fake lace mask she was sporting to evade the law and put others at risk. She had the nerve to whine about it too. She was without any consideration to the crew or pilot whose very hands would be guiding our safety. Kudos to Blue Hawaiian and all of Hawaii of that matter in your handling of this emergency. = We did indeed get up close and personal with several volcano craters. We even flew down into a large old one. It was really cool to be level with the trees when looking out the window - We spent a good chunk of time above the active cauldron that you can view from the overlook at the park. We were right over the old road that had caved in. But in sunlight you can't see the glow unless it's shooting out. I doubt they fly when that happens. = The waterfalls on the way back = quality and easy audio system. Comfy copter with lots of large windows. We did have 2 empty seats as a bonus - flew right over a Southwest jet taxiing as we came in for our landing. It seemed so close and made a really unique photo
