Awesome flight! Saw and learned so much. Marty was a great pilot and guide. Well worth the $. Very professional staff and operation.
The actual tour was amazing but we waited almost two hours for the trip- not sure how they got so far behind but there is nothing there to drink or snack on other than water or coffee. Suggest getting some vending machines so if you have such a long wait you aren't bothered. They did give free video tours given how long we waited which was nice- Highly recommend even with the wait just wish I had eaten something before I went
Greg - our helicopter pilot was awesome! He had a lot of details about the island and gave us a fantastic tour. 1 hour wasn't long enough - we really wanted to stay up there for a couple hours! Incredible views and sights like we've never seen before. If you only do one thing on the island - this is IT!!! thanks again and we hope to be back soon. David & Jackie
My husband did the late am helicopter ride and absolutely loved it. The captain was super knowledgeable and explained a lot about the island next to being an outstanding tour guide. Next time we are on the island we will definitely do it together once we don’t have an infant with us.
We had such a great time on this ride. Our pilot Greg was Awesome! He was ver informative and made the trip very relaxing! I would do this again anytime!
We had a fabulous tour today with Kris. We had originally booked for Monday but due to the wet weather it was rescheduled. They do reschedule for both safety and viewing reasons. We got a spectacular day with awesome visibility. The tour was great. You can't see all of Kauai by car because it is 80% inaccessible. We saw magnificent waterfalls and lush forests. I highly recommend it. Just be patient if they have to reschedule.
Beth was our pilot and she gave a smooth performance describing the sights and flying the helicopter. Most of Kauai is privately owned so the only way to see a lot of it is by helicopter. Also, you need to take a boat to some of the coastal areas to be able to see them or take a long hike for the higher areas. This way you get a guided tour and a great view of the best parts of the island.
This was a trip of a lifetime and it was totally worth it. We had an amazing pilot and we loved the trip so much we purchased the dvd of our tour. We got to see the island both by air and by land, but the road does not go around the whole island so this was the extra we wanted. We learned about the island's history and felt like we were a part of it and not just visitors. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great experience and still feel giddy when we watch the dvd at home with others.
This was my second experience with Blue Hawaiian on Kauai and it didn’t disappoint! Kauai is overflowing with natural beauty and there is no better way to truly experience the all the island has to offer than by air. Blue Hawaiian is the most popular air tour operator and their dedication to safety and knowledge is top notch.
Blue Hawaiian Helicopter is wonderful to work with! Helpful, friendly and nice, they honor a AAA discount and they offered complimentary pick up from the cruise terminal! Our pilot, David was excellent. We saw all the highlights of Kauai in a 6 passenger helicopter and it did not disappoint. So much to see and most of it inaccessible via car especially in one, 6-7 hour day, so this was a ride of a lifetime. We viewed the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Jurassic Park Waterfalls, Na'Pali coast, the wettest place on earth and lots of other beautiful locations. We were able to purchase a recording of our actually flight along with a Hawaii overview DVD. They also have other items for sale on site. Big, clean and comfortable waiting area and restroom, complimentary water. Safety briefing was through and easily understandable. They sit you, so don't worry about that, and they also buckle you in. If you have the opportunity to take a helicopter tour of Kauai, do not hesitate to book a tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter. You will not be disappointed!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!! Shay (our pilot was outstanding) and the entire office staff were all very polite and eager to make our time with Blue Hawaiian the best & the succeeded!!!
Excellent. Mark was knowledgeable about the Island, very informative, piloted his helicopter professionally and easily and instilled confidence in his passengers
Don't let the expense of a helicopter tour prohibit you from experiencing the incredible views during your visit to Kauai. It is worth every penny!!! You will see views of Kauai that you can't access by car. It is breathtaking! Even though they only allow a camera, your phone & sunglasses, there are small lockers available for purses, etc. that are secured with a key on a bracelet you wear during your ride. There is fruit infused water & coffee available in the waiting area and very clean bathrooms. Safety is paramount. No worries about the rotors while entering the helicopter as they are 9ft tall and they escort you to your seat and secure your buckle. Amy, our pilot was very personable & made us all feel comfortable, addressing us each by our names. Through headphones you will enjoy an exceptional description of Kauai's west coast and additional interesting Kauai facts. We could converse to our pilot through microphones & she encouraged any questions. It was a birthday surprise for our granddaughter that Amy spotted a goat named Casper on a mountainside and turned the helicopter so she could see a close up. They take photos of you & the helicopter at the completion of your ride. So glad we had a female pilot, great mentoring for our granddaughters. I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopter!
Our morning spent with Blue Hawaiian & Barrett was beyond words. The Napali Coast is breathtaking and the entire experience was organized, accommodating, and fun. Worth every penny for sure. Do not hesitate to book this!
Captain Kris was a wonderful pilot. I felt safe, saw unimaginable vistas, and enjoyed his playlist. I decided to splurge to guarantee myself a front row seating and boy am I glad I did. The front row sat the captain on the left, me to the front and there was an additional seat in the middle. The back row had four seats. Had I been stuck in the back row in the middle seats, I would've been less impressed with the tour, but fortunately I decided to lessen myself with the burden of $100 and it was amazing. I'm giving it four stars because booking was a pain. I booked via viatour on the tripadvisor website and the customer service rep was just spouting advertisements for this other tour and that other tour. I guess viatour outsourced internationally and when I couldn't understand him he would get defensive and shout his reply in the same somewhat incoherent english...whatever. What really pissed me off was he gave me the wrong address to the tour site. Fortunately, I realize I couldn't be late for the tour so I made sure I arrived about an hour ahead of schedule. Due to the wrong address, which led me to a fire station on the other side of the airport, I don't know how the hell I was able to get there without any security, I had to call and have the local lady direct me to the right place. I made it on time and it was a blast.
