Blue Hawaiian Helicopters is very professional operation. At no fault of theirs we were unable to go in the direction of the volcano due to the weather. Shane was full of knowledge during our trip and a very approachable pilot. After doing the helicopter tour on Kauai I was a little disappointed in the value of our adventure on the big island. If you are visiting both Islands and only doing one helicopter journey, I would suggest Kauai for the sites and cost. Buying the video is a good option, but the quality could be much improved. (Posted photo) The color quality is not so great. All said, you will definitely have a very memorable experience on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters!

I've made the "Discover Hilo" tour with this company in the April 2025. It weren't just the great views only. It was very interesting and knowledgeable story of the Island 8)

Chewy did a great job with the tour! And Blue Hawaiian was very gracious with our arrival. The waterfall tour was super fun! Highly recommend!

Took a ride along the Kona coast the last day were in Hawaii. My wife's scared of heights and she had an amazing time! Would 100% recommend this to anyone!

The ride itself was amazing but the knowledgeable pilot chuy and little tid bits of fun maneuvering and good music made it even better!

We have used Blue Hawaiian Helicopters in the past, on the other Hawaiian Islands and this experience lived up to their prior reputation of excellence. Our pilot James was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Unfortunately, for us, the volcano had erupted two days prior to our tour and apparently erupted again a few hours after our tour. Nonetheless, another truly amazing experience. Thank you Blue Hawaii Helicopters and especially Mr. James for another memorable experience

Jonalynn, Jordan and Greg Fredericks were AWESOME! The tour was informative, safe, and the video helped prepare you well for the tour. The staff is so pleasant and helpful! The music along with the views as we rode were priceless. The beautiful of the landscape and our pilot knowing exactly when to share and talk were perfect. The entire experience was perfect for our 25th anniversary.

The boys and I were impressed. Shane was great. The valleys/canyons were awesome. I’ve seen a lot of the island in the last several days , this was the coolest adventure yet. You should do it.
