Our pilot Shane was warm, professional and very knowledgeable. He welcomed questions. The ground crew was top notch as well. One of our party needed a little extra help boarding and both Shane and the ground crew were respectful and helpful. The flight was spectacular, just as advertised. A lifetime memory. Nothing at fault at all. A+

Great experience, great way to see Hawaii and the pilot was very knowledgeable telling us what we are looking at in the sky.

On Friday August 12th 2022 at 9:50am we booked a ride in a helicopter for our Anniversary it was the first time ever being in a helicopter and the pilots name was Fernando and it was the greatest experience ever and he was very knowledgeable on the islands history the next time we come back to Hawaii we will definitely be booking another ride with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters

As a company they are great. Pics are a bit misleading since this is when the volcanoes are erupting, and it is not always like this. Having said that, they are super professional, the experience is great, and looking at the volcanoes from above is a different experience that is worth the money if you have it or can spare it

The views were incredible. Flew over a live volcano and a beautiful canyon with 2400 ft. waterfalls. This is the only way to experience these awesome sights. Big Island Spectacular Helicopter Tour lives up to their name (spectacular). The pilots are well trained professionals, and the helicopters are very comfortable. I highly recommend this company.

highly recommend taking any of the tours to see parts of the island you might not get to otherwise. We had a chance to go see a waterfall and remote areas with amazing views. Staff was excellent and they record your ride for you.

The helicopter experience with our pilot, Pete, was a great one. We took off from Kahului and headed north for the trip. The weather was great on this particular afternoon (we chose the 4:45 departure). I was told by Pete that whether you chose the morning or the afternoon each one had it’s benefits. The experience was exactly as billed with great views, interesting commentary and the ability to ask questions. We went as a family with kids of 11 and 9. The 9 year old gets motion sick often but this was comfortable enough for her not to be too upset. It’s a 6-seater and they load you to allow for decent weight distribution and I managed to have a chat and got a front seat alongside my son (I swapped with my wife). There was also another couple with us too. The only reason this was not a 5-star rating is because I think there could be a little more notice around weather events. That said, this was a re-schedule from a failed attempt to take-off in Hilo due to inclement weather - so Blue Hawaiian did make sure we got a helicopter ride. Would book again with them.

Excellent views and excellent pilot. Chris was great and he talked to us about the island's history and interesting locations throughout the flight. The seats are comfortable and the windows are large and easy to see through, even in the middle seat. Would highly recommend, it could quite possibly be the highlight of your trip to Maui.

Wow! This was an amazing adventure. Although I was a bit nervous about the trip, I felt completely safe with our pilot, Chelsea! She handled the helicopter confidentiality, beautifully, and brought us up close to beauty few get to witness. Blue Hawaiian was awesome. My only recommendation (and it’s not a big deal) is to offer the option of printing the pictures they take. I would have bought the package, but didn’t want to print them when I got home. For $40 dollars, I just feel that’s fair. Overall, an exhilarating and wonderful experience!

Beautiful scenery, great commentary. It was the first time any of us (family of 4) had been on a helicopter. Yoshi was EXCELLENT!! It was so nice that he was so professional and put us at ease during our flight. He would also tell us ahead of time if he was going to turn the aircraft around (in order to allow the passengers on both sides of the helicopter to see everything). He had a very gentle, calming nature about him, and the music that played in our headphones when he wasn't speaking was very soothing. We had seen most of what we saw during our tour earlier in the week on land during our Road to Hana tour and visit to Haleakala summit, however seeing it all from a helicopter was a different experience all together, and one that I'm glad that we had. We also purchased the flash drive of our flight, and that is a great keepsake. Our very our "Aerial Maui" tour. Thank you, Blue Hawaiian and Yoshi for creating a wonderful memory for our family of a very special trip to Maui!

The landing in a private ranch was great, having drinks on top of Maui. Seeing the Hana jungle with all the waterfalls from the helicopter is breathtaking. Hooray captain Mike.

Absolutely amazing experience. My 12 and 9 year old loved it. Time went by fast! Should have done the longer one.

Pilot and flight were great but ground crew and policies were a bit insulting. The safety video states that they will give us an opportunity to take photos before we board the helicopter and showed a family with a crew member taking their camera and taking their photo. When we got to the helicopter, they had a camera and took our photo then I handed them mine and they said they couldn't do it because it was a safety concern. Really? Or is it a money concern??? If I am paying $300. x 5 people = $1500 I can't take a photo because I need to buy your $50 package??? Then I told my family that I was going to take a selfie of us as we walked off the tarmac. I started to but the crew made us stop! Not even a selfie. Then we walk in the buiding and they try to UPSELL us the photo they took of us and a video. How insulting. I'd rather pay more for the ticket than to be made to feel like a scofflaw not allowed to take my own photo with a fake excuse about safey. Our pilot was a former navy pilot with decades of flying experience...but as we walk in we see that he is working partially off of tips!!! There is a huge clear acrylic box with blank envelopes with a big sign for us to leave a tip for our pilot. So they don't even pay him enough? What a horrible experience. We felt like we were just dollar signs. Such a bad taste was left in our mouths I would definitely NEVER go back and recommend using a more professional company.
