Stunning. Maui and Molokai from above are just stunning. Blue Hawaii was very professional. They have the whole process down to a science. Felt like they were very safety conscious too. We had some questions going into the ride because I am big into photography and my wife is pregnant. They responded to my email by calling and discussing everything with me personally. I very much appreciate that. Mike, our pilot, was also very knowledgable and very nimble with his helicopter. We made some thrilling maneuvers at times to see whales, but it was a lot of fun! Speaking of whales, we saw probably ten whales coming past Lahaina. The whale watching tour was great, but being able to see the entire whale from above is something I will never forget.

We booked a few weeks ahead during busy season and there were only two seats left that would work in our time frame! So glad we didn't wait to try to get seats while there! (though you can try that, in case someone has cancelled) Even though this was a somewhat rainy, cloudy, sometimes windy day, the rain allowed the waterfalls to show up all over Molokai. It was so beautiful! Our pilot, Derek?, was good about checking on us all as to air sickness, etc., with the ride and the wind. He had lots of information for us and encouraged questions. He also tried to make sure both sides of the helicopter had a view of the scenery, making passes in both directions when possible. A couple of us had a little bit of a hard time hearing, (not sure if it was the headset or user error), but the scenery was plenty. We even saw a couple whales from above, and rainbows! What a whale watch experience that is! Because of the limited access to Molokai, our opinion is this is the best way to see it. FYI: There is a fee to park at the heliport. It was $5 (credit cards accepted) when we were there, for enough time for our 45 min. flight and all the extra time in prep and safety instruction. You are allowed to bring your camera(s)/phone to take pictures during the flight, but Blue Hawaiian doesn't allow purses or bags on the flight. They have free lockers for you to use though. Just don't forget to get your stuff back out when you return! They video your flight and make it available for purchase after you land. It has views unencumbered by windows, people and reflections. They also have envelopes after landing that you can write a note to your pilot, and/or include a tip for the pilot.

Great trip! Made reservations only a few days before and took a morning trip and it was perfect! Every person we saw and dealt with was personable, friendly, very polite and generally happy. Gernot was our pilot and he was great! He made our trip very enjoyable, we saw whales, turtles, gorgeous landscapes and beautiful waterfalls. I wish I’d told him that the men I was with were all hard of hearing. They told me after the trip they weren’t unable to understand him through their headsets. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed everyone involved Blue Hawaiian!

We had an amazing experience on this tour. The views are fantastic. We felt very comfortable and safe with our pilot Tim. It's the perfect length, especially if you're a little unsure of being in a helicopter. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

This was our first time on a helicopter and it did not disappoint. We saw some breathtaking views of Maui and Molokai, including waterfalls, rain forest canopies, rivers, reefs, and stingrays (the ocean was super clear). The helicopter was very open so we could see out of all sides. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

It was a fairly smooth ride but all passengers do not get a great view if sitting in the back. We sat too close to the other passengers Would be better if there were only 2 passengers in the back due to covid.this tour was just average. We saw a few waterfalls but should have done the tour that flew over Hana. It would have been more exciting and scenic and well worth the additional cost

Riding in a helicopter is such an amazing experience, and the places we saw on this tour were incredibly beautiful. Rick, our pilot and tour guide, was great, obviously a skilled pilot, and he also had a great playlist (music playing on our headsets) and knowledgeable about the area. They take a video recording of the flight from four onboard cameras including one inside, available for purchase on USB drive after the flight. It's expensive, but worth it.

Fantastic tour with a very experienced and capable pilot! Our family of three had a wonderful flight over West Maui and Molokai! So much beauty that can only be seen from the air!! Loved it!

Amazing views of West Maui and Molokai. Our pilot Derek, besides being a safe, smooth pilot, was a terrific tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of the islands. He also was very courteous and personable and played a perfect play list for us to listen to during the tour. I was also happy I brought along the tour brochure with the maps of Maui and Molokai to follow along as we went. This tour is a must do to budget for.

Phenomenal experience. Our pilot Chris was exceptional. He really knew the islands well and was able to bring a little extra knowledge about everything we were seeing. This was my first time on a helicopter and it couldn't have been any better. This was the best way to see Maui and Molokai that you would not otherwise be able to see. Highly recommend doing this trip. Well worth the money.

A couple of us had been to Hana before and wanted to try something new for this trip. We booked the SkyTrek excursion helicopter/limo van tour to/from Hana through our resort's concierge. The helicopter portion was with Blue Hawaiian and the limo van was through Temptation Tours. You can either fly to Hana and van back or van to Hana and fly back. This trip includes a picnic lunch. If there is one thing you cannot predict on Maui, it's the weather! It changes all the time. The day we took our flight ended up being cloudy and rainy. We figured we had just spent hundreds of dollars for nothing (we booked the Ecostar). However, our pilot, Brian, made sure we were still able to enjoy our flight. We were not able to fly to the top of Haleakala, but he spent time pointing out other things on land and in the water along the way to Hana. He flew us into a wide area of mountain ridges where we saw over 70 huge waterfalls! With the waterfalls and seeing a whale in the water from above, we were NOT disappointed in our trip! The whole trip (about 45 minutes) was very enjoyable and well worth the price! Wayne, with Temptation Tours, picked us up at the Hana helipad for our limo van tour back from Hana. We started with a delightful picnic lunch at Hana Bay and then headed back along the Hana Road to Kahului. Wayne has several years experience in the tourism business and was very knowledgeable about the sights along the Hana Road. I had never traveled this road in this direction, so it was nice to experience it "on the other side", in addition to being a passenger instead of being the driver. Wayne took us to a small botanical garden and would stop anywhere we wanted to stop for pictures. Wayne's insight and experience made this trip the wonderful experience that it was! Make sure you have fresh batteries in your camera and plenty of room on your SD card! Mahalo Nui Loa to Blue Hawaiian and Temptation Tours!

This was a really cool way to see the parts of Maui that you can not see in person. Having the chance to fly over the jungle, waterfalls, and mountains is out of this world. My wife and I booked our trip through our travel agent and we did the Hana / Haleakala tour. We really enjoyed this opportunity and I would recommend this to anyone. The only part of the trip that I had an issue with was when we went to check in for our flight they charged my wife and I an additional fuel surcharge of $45 each ($90). I understand that fuel is expensive and so is maintaining a helicopter, but why not build this into the price?! After our 40 minute flight (I expected it to be a little longer) we got out of the helicopter and went into the main office to leave. The helicopter pads are located next to the main airport, but have their own separate buildings and parking. I asked the front desk if they had a parking voucher since there was a parking attendant when we entered. The front desk agent said that they don't give any out and that it is around $3-$5 for parking! I was shocked that they didn't have anything and were going to make us pay to park....right in front of the front door...all after charging us almost $500 for the 2 of us!! Luckily when we drove out of the parking lot the attendant just waved us on and smiled. One would think that a highly recommended helicopter tour company would include a parking voucher and/or have a deal with the small lot outside their office. This incident by no means diminishes the experience that we had. The only way to see what we saw is by helicopter!

Great pilot with lots of knowledge. Travelling steadily over the terrain into the clouds next to the rim of the volcano. Seeing fantastic waterfalls a d the efforts of the island to preserve native plants from goats. Great sea views and the spirals of wind pumps down the hillside was stunning

Blue Hawaiian helicopter flight from Hana to Kahului following private bus tour of Hana road. 40 minute flight. The Ecostar helicopter is simply first class. Very plush. Smooth ride. Air conditioning. Great views even from the back seat middle. Tons of waterfalls only visible by copter. Pricey but well worth it!

Totally worth the money to see the island from the air. So beautiful and an exciting way to do it. I had never been in a helicopter. Also, we were not big on the crowds and windy roads (600+ switchbacks I think!) of the road to Hana. And while seeing it from the air is not as good as experiencing it in foot and by car, we all agreed we were good with the helicopter view. Just gorgeous.
