Ai'opio Beach is just north of Honokohau Harbor. The water here is protected by offshore reefs. Often, many turtles are attracted to the grasses growing in the cloudy water and feed from this cove. In ancient times, this natural fishpond was well utilized as fish swam in during hightide and could not get out during low tide. Today, it is a relatively remote beach which makes it perfect for a afternoon getaway.
