Aloha Blue Hawaiian staff, We were just wanting to express our "THANK YOU", for a wonderful time on the Big Island. As we were planning our vacation to Hawaii, (via the Internet), we learned that there were helicopter tours that would enable us to see the volcanoes up close from a different view. We had looked at other companies that offered these tours, but always came back to your site. We loved being able to see short video clips of previous flights,(from your web page), to see what we were going to experience. We booked the Big Island Spectacular (volcanoes and waterfalls) and were aw-struck by the views; especially seeing lava in the new flow field. Our pilot, Toshi, was GREAT. He was very informative and had an excellent sense of humor. Our experience on this tour was so amazing that we are going to see you again in Feb. 2009. Just wanted to let you know that about 3 weeks ago we took your complete tour of Maui. Our pilot was Dean and he was quite the character. He made us feel all at ease and we had a great time! Being terribly afraid of heights I wasn't sure I really wanted to be in a helicopter. After the first few seconds I was having the time of my life. I got some wonderful, memorable pictures and can't wait till we go back and we can do it again. The entire family really enjoyed the helicopter tour. We really got some great shots of the lava and magma which made the tour that much better. The pilot (James / Kimo) did a terrific job - very personable, very knowledgable, and really made himself available to the passengers for other questions. My son was still talking about the ride this morning - the "red stuff" still has his attention! You have a very friendly and customer oriented group of employees. The highlight of our recent volcano-waterfall tour was, of course, our son Peter's sighting of the hiker who had been lost on the lava field for five days and given up for lost. Every seat on the Eco-Star has a wonderful deep-window view and - from the middle back seat - Peter saw the hiker's mirror flashing down on the lava field floor. He picked up the in-cabin microphone, alerted your pilot, and the rest was a wonderful outcome to both our tour and the hiker's misadventure. We truly praise Blue Hawaiian for having state-of-the-art equipment, friendly and inquisitive pilots, and the generosity to rescue a fellow human in great need.
